He already interupted the test though. He said he would leave man alone to figure all this stuff out. By changing the languages during the time of Nimrod the test is already inconclusive. By interfering in the flood of Noah´s day he has put himself into the test. I have other examples but that is the gist of it.

Testing, testing, testing.....Jehovah TESTS?
by Terry ina classroom teacher has to administer tests.
the teacher doesn't know who is learning and who isn't or how much.. a test pilot flys a new jet to determine what strengths and weaknesses correspond to the design because nobody knows how close.
the manufacture of it came to the ideal.. fire drills are a test: can everybody exit in an orderly fashion in a reasonable amount of time in case there is a fire.. if you think you may be pregant you take a pregnancy test because you won't know for sure otherwise (unless you wait 9 months!).

Walkill Bethel Recreational Facility
by dontplaceliterature inmy wife and i just visited some friends over the weekend from another congregation.
these two are both full time pioneers, and also participate in various construction projects around the country.
the husband just got back from a 3 week trip to walkill, new york to help with construction on a new residence building at 'the farm' (does anyone call it that anymore?)..

I worked at Bethel in 1994 for a two week stint. I was put out in the hot brooklyn sun and grinded down the concrete for a BASKETBALL court. Does anyone know if this was actually built?

Another 1975 coming soon
by fade_away ini heard some analysts on the news recently saying that at the rate the us is falling and china rising, it is expected that china will be the super power within the next 30 or 40 years.
if that happens then i guess there will be another mass exodus of jws from the wt despite what new light they come up with.
but if the witlesses are right then that means god must intervene and the great tribulation and armageddon is coming in less than 30 or 40 years.

Thanks to Those That Went Before Us
by OnTheWayOut ini want to say thanks to those that have blazed the trail for others to become former jehovah's witnesses.. many were disfellowshipped or disassociated, some stopped going to meetings before "faders" existed.
many had no internet or any way of gathering with others who left the jw's.
later, the likes of randy watters and ray franz gave many a sense of a group conscience with their efforts and writings.

Giddy up! I second it! I lost too much to witnesses. I am even shunned now and I didn´t even do anything. They still think I go. But because I do not go to their hall they no longer eat at my restaurant. Buttholes!
So yes thanks so much! I save some threads and re read them from time to time. Thanks On the Way Out! I wish I could meet some of you in real life. I only know one other apostate but he still goes to the Kingdom Hall and gets mad at me if I get angry about the org. I guess because his family is still in that he doesn´t talk bad about them much.

Do they announce when a pioneer steps down at your hall?
by Evidently Apostate induring the announcements they stop to bring up an elder and he states " hairy mary is no longer a pioneer" (not a real name) in a tone very similar to a disfellowshipping.
i have heard it twice now but only from the hall my wife attends now.. anyone else hear of this?.

I was a pioneer not too long ago. Last October...I talked to the Elders and told them I was reconsidering my decision. They told me to wait two weeks and come talk to them to see if I still felt that way. The following Thursday the pioneers names were read off. Mine was not said. I went up to one of the Elders and said what was the deal. He looked surprised. I said I thought you were going to give me two weeks and we would discuss it again. He shrugged his shoulders. That was the last meeting I went to.

Yeah it really hurt my business for awhile. I was trying to run it with the witness mindset. I have since been able to fire people. That was SO hard to learn.

To Dissassociate or just Fade into Inactivity ? Your Choice ? Reasons ?
by flipper inthis has been asked before, however i thought it may be good for newer members of the board to read some of our reasons on how we decided to exit the jw cult and why we decided to do it the way we did.. first off - i have been faded for almost 8 years.
essentially i decided to fade into inactivity and not da because i have elderly jw parents who would shun me if i did get dfed or daed myself.
also- i like keeping open the possibilities that some of my many jw relatives may in time start doubting and have questions and reach out to me in my inactive state.

I am still in fade mode. Living in Mexico I had to leave certain things to a brother in Georgia that I still want. Until I can leave this hell hole I will continue to lie and say I go.

Are they really that weak willed?
by jean-luc picard inmr falcons thread on jw partys made me think about my new family's get togethers.. once or twice a year, we have a get together/picnic ( around 40 or 50 mostly family ).. we drink quite a bit of wine/ pernod ( our wives or 'sometimes husbands) drive home ).
i have never heard crude talk.
people sware a bit, but in an amusing kind of way.

I knew a sister from Atlanta who went on a witness cruise. She danced the grind with two ministerial servants. She loved it. One of her Elders said something was inappropiate with the dancing. So then she changed her tune and said the 2 brothers were molesting her on stage. Since they were from a different congregation in another state she tried the rest of the trip to find out their names and to turn them in and get them in trouble. The next year she was DFed....
What hypocrisy!

Let me see....Let us see how it comes to love...
Had cancer in 97. Two witnesses and only two took me out to dinner. I even attended meetings while getting chemo. Worldly people did more. More phone calls etc.
The issue of money...Worldly people stole...my wallet $8.00 once. Drug dealer stole $40 once. Broke my window in my car. $100. Stole my television in Mexico $300.
Witnesses stole $35,000....Sister is STILL in good standing and Elders are not doing anything about it.
I would say I prefer the worldly life. Less stolen and more love.
