Tale of a Black Congregation Part I
by TMS inexposure to two distinct cultures has impacted my life.
first, as a young blonde lad from the pacific northwest, i was catapulted into the hispanic culture of the rio grande valley in 1961. on the border, by the sea was the chamber of commerce slogan, but the change in venue was more dramatic than simply moving from a land of mountains and douglas fir to beaches, bougainvilla, grapefruit and beaches.
it was the warmth and closeness of the mexican families, the new sounds and flavors and , yes, the salon del reino that intrigued and humbled this know-it-all young pioneer.

Awake exploits family tragedy ....
by dedalus inby now most here have read the terrible story of a pregnant witness, theresa giarrano, who was murdered for her unborn child.
the story appeared in vogue magazine shortly after the events took place; it is only now, 10 months later, that the awake (july 22, 2001 issue) has published anything about this tragedy.
though the story is "as told by" theresa's father, james giarrano, it is such a twisted piece of exploitation that i can only believe a ghost writer or collaborator is behind it.

The story of Brent Craft and Carol Keener
by Kent ini didnt want to write my story.
i wanted to close the door on a difficult part of my life and move on.
there are many things that are best left in the past because they are too painful to recall.

Why many do not hear the holy spirit...
by kes152 in"a man had two sons.. he went up to the first son and asked him, "son, go please and bring in my sheep from the pasture.
for it is getting dark and it would be dangerous to leave them out at night.".
so the son goes out and brings in the flock, because his heart was on obeying his father and he wanted to care about the same things his father cared about.

This Board
by joelbear ini've been thinking a lot about this board and the people here over the past few days.. as most of you know, i got pretty pouty and threw a couple of fits over what i saw as being a wrong direction for the board.
i claimed doom was near, etc.
etc.. i have come to think that this board is very real.

Who are you?
by Kent inmany people do post on this board, and many of the participants do spend a lot of hours every day/week helping others by answering to private mails.
many do get lots of private phone calls, and spend a lot of time talking to people on phone as well.. others are here to discuss, find friends, socialize with others and generally have a good time.
the nice thing about the net is the possibilities of finding new friends.
