No, but the one you mentioned is obviously brazen.

Ever Disturbed by Something an Elder Said to You Personally?
by Cthulhu ini used to go out in service with this particular elder and after a while he developed a habit of saying...disturbing things.
i remember one occasion where he reminisced in rather graphic detail about a handjob some other guy gave him in school.
i recall another service venture when we passed a woman out walking her dog and he asks "do you ever wonder how many women who own dogs have sex with them?

KM (Elder School) Brief Highlights
by XBEHERE inbesides the usual drivel there were a couple interesting things.
1. an entire 1 hour discourse on helping our children become little innocent martyrs for the wt via.
their flawed and unreasonable blood doctrine.

I guess that means that if an elder's ADULT child goes to college, the elder has to kick him out of the house if he wants to remain an elder.

I stopped going to the Kingdom Hall
by FloridaPerry inin late 1976, i had just turned 17. everyone in my family dropped out over the next few years, except a a brother who has been going strong his whole life.
my mother went back a couple of years ago and i live in the same town as she does and she keeps talking to me about it.
reading this forum, it sure brings back a lot of memories.

FloridaPerry, welcome. Regarding your comment about the younger ones, "when they let go, they really let go!" That is so true. I have worked with prisons and discovered that many in there were witness youths who got into heavy partying, fights, thefts, and other crimes.
And yes, there really is stalking going on. Elders have come and walked around my property to peek in windows, try the doors, feel the car's hood to see if the engine was warm or cold...things like that.

When I used to go out in service in the morning, if it appeared that the householder might not be up yet - curtains still closed, no sounds coming from the house - I'd knock lightly so as not to wake them up. Just loud enough that they could hear it if they were in their living room. However, quite often this would backfire....I'd knock lightly and then I'd hear 4 or 5 large dogs inside going berserk, which would in turn get the next door neighbor's dogs barking too.
Many witnesses I worked with wouldn't care if the householder was obviously still asleep. They'd pound on the door extra hard. Their reasoning was, "If your house was on fire, wouldn't you want your neighbor to wake you up? Well something worse than a house fire is coming," referring to Armageddon. I'd explain to them that their reasoning will only offend and antagonize the householder. It would be better to make a note of the address and return at a later time, such as Sunday afternoon after the meeting. I would always remind them that we come uninvited and therefore we need to be considerate.

Hope for prisoners. Or, why not commit suicide?
by easyreader1970 inthis is copied from a post on reddit.com.
while i don't (yet) have the urge to remove myself from life, i can understand the hopelessness part of this.. .
the reason i am making this submission with this title is because i find my life to be mostly similar to a prisoner.

When I was a MS I was involved in the prison ministry and I worked with many prisoners, including death row inmates in the state's most secure supermax facility. I had direct contact with them, not separated by glass or bars. One particular death row inmate wanted to be executed and get it over with. However as his case was going through the appeals process there was the possibility that his sentence would be commuted to Life Without Parole. He did not want to spend the rest of his life in prison so he killed himself. I don't blame him! And I'm sure there have been other cases like this.
Also, Luo bou to posted: "I don't see why suicide can't be a rational decision" I thought of the example of the Twin Towers on 9/11. Some who were trapped inside realized they were going to perish in the flames, and therefore decided to jump to their death.

Shall the clay say to the potter, "Why did you make me into a green blob?"
Be thankful. Green blobs are easier to find in a crowded parking lot. Green goes with everything. Imagine if you had to be a purple blob! What would your life be like then? Scarey thought, huh? All the other blobs would laugh and call you names, and never let you join in any blob games.

Angels are all male?
by sabastious ingenesis 6: 1, 2 - 1 when human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of god saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.. so angels are only attracted to female humans.. anyone else find this extremely telling?.

I have the same thought as Blondie. I don't think it really has to do with these angels wanting to experience sexual pleasure at all. It has to do with the ability to reproduce. Angels cannot yet they observed lower forms of life - animals - reproducing. The only other being they knew of who could bring living things into existence was God himself, who also brought them into existence. I can understand why they'd be jealous.
Add to that, because of the rebellion in Eden Satan and all the angels who sided with him received a death sentence with no hope of a resurrection. Yet, Adam and Eve sinned, but although they too received a death sentence they at least were allowed to procreate. In that sense, Adam and Eve would get to live on. In addition, as human society grew man began to rule over one another whereas Satan was punished for trying to rule over humans.
These angels figured out a way to get around all this. Materialize as "super" men, bully the human males, take their women, and create a hybrid race. Maybe take over rulership of the planet? But then God found a way to ruin their plan. By bringing the flood, the only way these offspring could survive was to dematerialize again. So essentially God killed the women and the hybrid children, but not these angels. However these angels weren't able to bring any women back with them.

If she was being disobedient to her parents they'd probably show her the scripture that talks about the wild beast attacking the harlot, eating her fleshy parts and leaving her devasted and naked.

I always thought of it this way. What if the ministry was my job, something I was charging the society an hourly fee for? I would expect to be paid starting when I arrived at the Hall, just as I expect my employer to start my time as soon as I show up at the office whether the computers are down or not. At my job I don't punch out when I go to the restroom or get coffee in the breakroom. So it was the same with field service. If we met at the Hall at 9AM and then at noon we were back in the kingdom hall parking lot, I'd count 3 hours. It didn't matter if we drove 30 minutes to the territory, worked an hour, took a 15-minute break, then I sat in the car for 15 minutes while others were on a return visit. I made myself available from 9-12 so I counted the 3 hours.
