If you have young children at home the last thing you want is a Catholic Priest knocking at your door. Sorry but that is the reality these days and the next last person knocking on a door that you really don't want to talk with........ is a JW.

The Scientologists aren't interested in knocking on doors as they are bankrupting themselves as they try to master another 'level' and spend thousands of dollars on their pipe dream. Biggest bunch of dummies since the Christen Scientists and Jehovah's Witnesses.

The Mormons are still doing door to door work.Most of them don't know that their leader Joseph Smith had 30 wives. What the hell was his rotation schedule like?

Do you have any idea how many religious people come on this site and try to offer their slightly different version of their JW learned beliefs?

And how many wannabe believers run away with their tail between their legs? Each and every one of them. The only ones that can stay......... manage to stop being assholes or holy rollers or true believers etc. They either keep it under raps or they are gone.

Why? Because within this membership, on just this forum, there are collectively thousands of years of past JW experience and inside Society knowledge. We know the bible better then the opposition. You are surrounded by ex pioneers, Elders, servants,ex Bethelites, people in this piss poor excuse of a religion who were in for decades.

Until they woke up.

We understand the nature of high control ignorant religions and cults.

You have no concept of what many of us experienced, marriages and normal contact with one's family torn apart thanks to the WTBTS and their monkey rules and regulations.

Now they are starting to tear themselves apart. Law suites.... bodies piling up because they can't handle their pedophile issues or killing people off because of a life saving blood transfusion.

They are as dumb as Christian Scientists, as controlling as Scientology, as big a con as the Mormons.

Hi Damien,

I agree with most of the above comments.

Living in a body that has rejected certain qualities would be a nightmare. You must be yourself and everything else needs to be put aside. And that includes the WTBTS.

Being a JW is a waste of your time as it was for myself......... and while I understand family ties......... in the long run it's not about the families we were born into it's about the friends we make, the person we want to live with and the good we can do that counts.

My pioneer partner (female) is still my best friend and lover for the last 57 years.

I am now an old grumpy grandpa but still happy about the choices we made in our life together.

Believe me when I say living on a paradise earth built on the bones of billions of people is not an acceptable choice.

As boring and narrow thinking the Society is......... who would want to submit to their rule?

Ridiculous refusion of blood transfusions

Lets understand the reality....re blood transfusions.

A JW lack of education for the most part....was ignored to develop a life or death understanding using a non scientific approach about blood transfusions. By people who for the most part had no higher learning then high school.

It was all about 'eating blood'......... In doing so they referenced the word's of a doctor......... one doctor.... Deny's...... who wrote.... ‘In performing transfusion it is nothing else than nourishing by a shorter road than ordinary – that is to say, placing in the veins blood all made in place of taking food which only turns to blood after several changes.’” (The Watchtower, Sept. 15, 1961, p. 558)

What the Society did not tell its readers, is that this doctor, Jean Baptiste Denys, lived in the 17th century. (It turns out that Dr. Denys never said the words attributed to him by the Watchtower).

Medical science long ago abandoned this idea. Later, the Society tried to appeal to another authority, the Dane...... Thomas Bartholin, but now they at least admit he also lived in the 17th century.

Why has the WTS found no support for this peculiar idea among more recent medical experts? Because there are none. Not even the medical doctors who are themselves Jehovah’s Witnesses will ruin their reputation by supporting this claim.

A blood transfusion has nothing to do with eating blood which would be drinking blood.

A blood Transfusion is identical to a transplant which the society, after a ban of some 11 years, now permits.

They got it wrong and a good thousand JW;s more or less die every year since 1945.

Ignorance is another factor. JW's tend not be well educated so when they go into a hospital and it can be over whelming. But Ignorance breeds ignorance.

The Society lied and JW's died.

Quotes from the bible that God instructed Noah about the sanctity of blood had no bearing on the right or wrong of a god who needed to kill everyone but a select small group who escaped the great flood.

This murderous conduct overlooked honest and decent people. Couples bonded together, the old and young, the little children and the unborn. It wasn't a wicked world probably no worse then what came after. Oddly enough God murdered the unborn. He drowned the mother and the unborn.

The real intent of the Society was to pretend that the JWs were special as they were the only ones ready to give up their lives, if necessary, because blood was so important that Jesus never mentioned it.

Two thoughts: one is a letter sent to our local newspaper that lists the wrongs of the JW construct. The two witness rule that is applied to child sexual abuse. The stupidity of Elders and the HLC. The stupidity of the GB and blood. Armageddon and a longing to see the human population die with the exception of the JW's.

There is a monster within the JW world and it needs to be revealed.

And oh by the way...... those nice JW's who knock on your door are simply checking out your home to see if it's good enough to move into after Armageddon.

All this crap the JW have developed over the years is now an embarrassment of ignorance.

The second is to hold an open house to demonstrate that we set a different course...... a different life style. We lived a good life and did what needed to be done for family, friends and our community.

Our Volunteering was out of respect for our small city and the great 'worldly' friendships we have maintained these last 20 years.

No believing JW needs to attend. No one who shunned us........ needs to attend.

Their will be an 'open bar' and good food and great conversation and laughter.

I think his reasoning and numbers are somewhat self serving. Be it 3% or 6% the damage is far more important then the act itself. Since the 1980's things have improved? No way.......... as we learn about more and more abuse.

Trust issues be it a JW , a Priest, Rabbi or family member is a serious part of any physical abuse. The body can heal but what about the brain?

Going back to the Catholic church it has allowed it's priests and nuns to sexually abuse children for well over 17 hundred years. Shame on them and anyone who looks away.

And apart from Jesus throwing out a bone "do not hinder the children coming to me!" That idiot said nothing about sexual child abuse nor slavery which certainly allows for wide spread sexual abuse.

For a high percentage of actual child abusers it's an un-treatable disease.

The ignorance of a JW is fanned by the ignorance of their beliefs.

As far as I know....... only the Mormons have made their special brand of ignorance...... work for them. Though it cost them dearly when the Mormon rank and file finally learned that Joseph Smith had thirty wives.

You really have to be sub par to be a believing Jehovah's Witness or a Mormon or a Christian Scientist or a Scientologist. The later two are totally dreadful religions that are thankfully dying.

So what are the sub par beliefs of the JW's.

1. That most of mankind will be violently killed at Armageddon. Then go through another judgment a 1000 years later. Apparently God is trying to find a few righteous individuals and keeps coming up short.

2. That a Paradise earth can be built on the bones of the dead.

3. That the Society itself...... 7 or 8 numb nuts can administer a dead planet with a few million people who survived.

4. That the lack of an education will make it very difficult to accomplish much of anything.

5. Apart from petting wild animals it will be just another dark age for mankind.

6. Suicides will be more difficult in a perfect world (that one is kinda dark).

7. Just as always there will be nothing for the children but farm labor. When they grow up they will be as ignorant as their parents.

8. That a perfect world is the enemy of a good world.

Weird Jehovah’s Witnesses

it seems every congregation has a couple of weirdo elders, pioneers and ministerial servants.

and then you see those witnesses who attend meetings but most people seldom associate with them because... they are eccentric..

I was in the cult at the age of thirteen until 22. Thank you Mom....not.

I have no known social problems. Other then I am overly kind........ apart from that I get along with everyone in our community.

I am actually worried about that because I don't have any enemies which means that I don't have strong positions. However I do have strong positions re Anti JW's and every other religion or political positions or idiots like Donald Trump. Lets throw in the Catholic Church and Republican party as well.

When we have our annual 'welcome to the New Year Day party' I have to manage the food and drinks for two hundred visitors.

But I always questioned the assumption.... that I am a success. That doubt doesn't spring from being a JW as I was led in to participate and unlike you........ got out at a very early age and became a successful citizen of this great country.....USA forever!

What......... me worry about our social life? Not at all. I am as normal as rain.

Shall I disassociate myself too? I’m the only one left now.

please bear with me as this might be a long one,.

the question above has been circulating my mind for a while and i’ve been wondering if there’s anyone that thought the same or done it.. we normally associate shunning and disassociation with jehovah’s witnesses that are normally baptised, but my situation is a reversed one.. i was a bible student that left a long time ago on my own free will, never shunned never ostracised by my jw’s siblings and their families.

the years have passed and situations have arisen that has made me uncomfortable of the knowledge of particular outcomes within my siblings and families.. i’ve been thinking to stay away from my family( living in a different country ), as i don’t want to be preached on or feel out of touch and segregated by their opinions of me and my family.

Number one........Welcome to this forum Theonlyoneleft! You might think about changing your Forum name to Theonlysmartoneleft lol.

My wife and I walked away when we were in our early 20's ......... five decades ago. Back in those days the Society ignored it's apostates. Opposition didn't amount to much if you kept your disagreements under cover.

However family members who were in...... would argue and consistently push their beliefs. Over the years we all drifted apart. Family ties aside there is no one more boring then then a believing JW other then a Mormon!

The JW world was filled with nonsense back then most of which was found in the writings of Russell, Rutherford and Franz.All out of print.

In today's JW world the nonsense comes from the Governing Body only now we have the internet, forums like this one, the latest new light from the world of science. EX JW's can now grow up and become informed adults.

I don't mind talking to JW's if they call at my door or they are a distant family member who needs some help otherwise those that can't see us or hear us........ we ignore.

The JW religion has morphed into a tribe. Tribal ties are very strong. You don't stay you....... if you buy into a tribe that tells you to dance around the fire....cause that's what they do.

Always remember that they would allow their children to die for want of a life saving blood transfusion so that they could still belong to the tribe.

I've Abandoned an Old Friend

and so, i was told to talk to him several times a day through prayer and share with him my broad range of emotions as i went through life; and so i did.

even when i left the jws, i asked for his support through countless prayers.

You are describing every religion out there. A false, fake or F*&ked up god whose followers regurgitate the arguments of religious leaders who think they have the inside track for the god they believe in or try to manipulate because it suits their agenda.

Here is the only truth I know........The language of god is silence.....everything else is a bad translation of that silence.

A walk in the woods, by a stream or lake, a pasture, in the mountains can be the most honest spirituality you will ever experience. Enjoy.
