We are now 23 Years past Armageddon as the GB stated
by JohnTron7 inso the end was going to come by 2000 as documented in the magazines back in the late 80's early 90's.. so how did they get the time off so badly ( over two decades and still nothing) since the gb is jehovah's earthly mouthpiece right ?

what do you guys think it could be?.
my guess is a study companion to go with their new jesus series, they really need to rebrand at this point..

Maybe Armageddon will come invisibly on that date.
At least it seems that the GB doesn't think it will come between now and then.

Watchtower (Study) August 2023 - gaslighting and deflecting again.
by was a new boy in'they turn the story around to make it seem like you are at fault, deflecting attention and blame away from them to make you feel guilty.
this type of emotional manipulation is called gaslighting.. .
deflection is manipulation, and if it's coupled with other toxic relationship behaviors, it may be necessary to remove yourself from the situation.'.

Why would WE have expected Armageddon to have come already?
Sorry, unauthorized question.
Independent thinking is dangerous.

A luncheon with ultra PIMI, elderly relatives
by joe134cd ini had a luncheon yesterday with and aunt and cousin.
the only reason i went, and endured it, was because my father who can’t drive wanted to see them.
as i sat there eating the lunch at the restaurant, i couldn’t help think how totally oblivious they are to what’s going on, in an ever expanding organisation of the happiest people on earth.

Sometimes when I drive past a Kingdom Hall and see the parking lot full I want to walk inside, start reciting all the false prophecies and doctrinal flip flops, and yell, "Wake up, people!"
Then I wonder how many JWs there already know about all that and still believe their salvation depends on accepting as truth whatever the GB tells them.

ThomasMore,
Yes, I remember an elder proudly telling me, "If I've been brainwashed, I consider that a good thing. It means I have a clean mind."
I wonder how he'd feel about having a programmed mind...

In the latest JW_ORG cartoon video, young Caleb learns from his father that he does not have to be baptized to be a Jehovah's Witness
by jwleaks inin the latest jw_org cartoon caleb learns from his father that he can be a jehovah's witness without being baptized by becoming an 'unbaptized publisher'.. the video also refers to a potential meeting with the elders to discuss caleb becoming an 'unbaptized publisher'.. https://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/children/become-jehovahs-friend/activities/become-an-unbaptized-publisher/.

The WT always tries to claim that it is doing what first century Christians did.
Where in the Bible or in secular history were first century Christians referred to as "publishers"?

After they become unbaptized publishers, there will be tremendous pressure on them to get baptized.

Normal people don't give a darn if you're a witness
by XBEHERE inthis was posted on exjw reddit, check it out if some of you never have.
https://www.reddit.com/r/exjw/comments/13q6k5l/normal_people_dont_give_a_darn_if_youre_a_witness/ .
i find this to be the case, people in general are so not interested in religion that they really could care less about jws.

My neighbour's views on J.W's
by Phizzy ini came across a thread on a site for neighbours, which includes quite a wide area really, many square miles containing a lot of villages, and a couple of towns.
it is so we can swap unwanted goods, inform each other of local crimes and scams etc, and we can vent.. there was a post that said the lady did not want this crap coming through her door, a letter and a tract from a j.w.
i won't post the thread here , as at least one xjw is on there, but all the comments below her post were anti-jw !

Most people neither know nor care what JWs believe.
They find their door to door witnessing annoying.
But they aren't interesting in persecuting Jehovah's Witnesses.
They just wish they could find a way to avoid them.

Does the WTS have a clergy class (yes-no)
by blondie inwt 2021 october p.20 "in contrast, true worshippers of jehovah have no clergy.
although we respect those who are taking the lead, we accept jesus’ clear teaching: “all of you are brothers.”".
ijbq article 92 point 6: in contrast, true worshippers of jehovah have no clergy.

They would probably say, "Theologically we have no clergy class, but the governing authority only sees things in Christendom's terms, so be their definition--not ours--we do..."
Translation: The lawyers came up with this.
