Splane's s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g o-f t-h-e 1-9-1-4 g-e-n-e-r-a-t-i-o-n reminds me of the infamous photo of Nixon's secretary, Rose Mary Woods, demonstrating how she "accidentally" erased 18 1/2 minutes of a key Watergate tape.
the september 2015 broadcast had david splane explain matthew 24:34 “truly, i say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place”.
his explanation of this scripture was by means of a chart to indicate an overlapping generation.. .
no scripture was used to show the overlapping generation concept, and as a result it makes no sense.. to illustrate how crazy this concept is, look at the lyrics of the song my generation.. my generation.

would it be all-right with you if a translator removes "jesus'" name completely from the new testament and replaces it with a substitute, like "master" throughout?.
If the name didn't appear in any Greek New Testament manuscripts, yes.
The translation should be true to the original, not substituting words that aren't there because someone thinks they should be.
The King James translators did add in words in order to make the transition from Greek to English, but they italicized those words to make clear that that's what they were doing.
By contrast, the NWT injects "Jehovah" into the NT 237 times.
i drove through a nearby seaside town today.
it was starting to rain.
it was cold.
JWs are trained not to ask "why" questions.
Just do what the organization tells you and all will be well...
speaking to a pimo from my hometown yesterday.
he told me that in the watchtower study (10 nov 2019) regarding “the great tribulation” the elder on the platform said that there’s no need for jws to preach in every country in order to fulfil the prophecy, and therefore the org has already fulfilled that prophecy.
and that there’s nothing else left to wait for now but for “the great tribulation” to come.. gasps of delight came from the audience.. has anyone else heard this?
Despite all the door-to-door witnessing and time reporting, the vast majority of people have no idea what JWs believe.

I've heard it also.
years ago when i was a jw, one of their cornerstone teachings was that they were nothing like babylon the great.
i remember being taught that the witnesses not using any type of clergy class distinction was proof that they had the right religion.. well, recently we had this article in the local paper, and an elder who was no doubt the presiding overseer tried to use the clergy class excuse to get out of answering questions regarding a child abuse case.
here is the statement that really got to me.
Whatever protects the organization... that's what they are.
in the new article about the international convention in manila, the picture of the crowd is pretty telling.
they look so drained and miserable!.
.
Fill in the blanks, brothers and sisters:
-rm-g-dd-n is just around the c-rn-r!
i haven’t been to a meeting in months.
just got a sympathy card in the mail from a “sister”.
i don’t know her beyond her face.
Do you think the sister sent that card on her own initiative or at the direction of the elders?

If you're trying to fade, it's probably best not to respond.
If you respond with anger, you might end up in front of a JC.
just looking at the pictures in tomorrow's wt study makes me think of the nightmares i used to have as a child.
and nowadays the pictures are sometimes more realistic, so for any who are truly mentally in, this has a terrible effect on them and even their life choices.
looking in as a pimo or pomo it seems almost comical that adults would believe in this sci-fi bible fan-fiction, but it's not funny when we remember that all ages of the r&f are being manipulated by the gb by these cheap and evil means.. .
You'd think PIMI JWs would be confident.
After all, they are supposed to be part of a relatively small group of earth's population who understands and pleases Jehovah.
Yet how many of them are deeply fearful they won't prove worthy and so will be wiped out at Armageddon?
The WT gets them believing both things at the same time.
