Hatred of Jews

i have never understood the hatred and dislike towards jewish people.

so many people are bothered by jewish influence.. do you have anti jewish bias?

One of the first friends we made when my wife and I left Watchtower world was an Israeli born Jew.

She really helped us (esp. my wife) get through those early tough times. Plus, she could relate to us a little, like being the only kid in school (she grew up in the US) that didn't celebrate Christmas etc.

On top of that she had degrees in sociology and cultural anthropology, so she was fascinated with our background. She'd talk with us for hours about our kampf (I'd say that jokingly to her).

Anyway, I never had an anti Jewish bias, in spite of coming from a crazy redneck family.

In fact, I was disappointed when I did a DNA test and didn't have even a smidge of Jewish ancestry. 100% boring ultra Nordic/Germanic blood here...

Another School Shooting: The Gun Violence/Mental Illness Debate Continues

in the aftermath of the valentine's day school shooting in florida, i have read quite a number of articles, blogs and posts about the event.

it is disturbing--and i think inexcusable--that many people take the opportunity to use horrible tragedies such as this to push their own particular agenda.. in particularly insensitive and tone-deaf tweet, conservative political commentator tomi lahren wrote: "can the left let the families grieve for even 24 hours before they push their anti-gun and anti-gunowner agenda?

It's pretty clear that getting either the far lefty or far righty types to set aside politics isn't going to happen.

They are not capable. They are not reasonable I really think that people who have become polarized like this lower their IQ. These people are destroying the U.S.

As others have pointed out, the similarity to cultlike thinking is undeniable and scary.

Regarding guns, I have quite a few friends who are greenie, granola eating scientist types. I've started asking them if they have guns. So far I've been shocked, every one of the lefties so far has said that they have a gun. In fact, the most Trump hating unabashed socialist friend has a sniper rifle (I can't wait for some moron to try to make me define "sniper rifle", well dipshit, all I know is that's what the SNIPER called it!) because he was a sniper in the Marines during Desert Storm. None of these people want to ban guns.

On the other side, I have Trump voting, gun collecting friends. One of these friends (an NRA member who was buying an AR15 every few months during the Obama presidency (yeah he can afford that)), wanted to take me shooting with him but didn't want to take me to a local shooting range because, "when you see all the dumb fucks there who don't know how to handle a gun safely it might turn you into an anti gun guy."

Often, I think the reasonable people in these issues get drowned out by the brainwashed blowhards on either end of the spectrum. I'm really sick of it.

this is my first post to this site, im pale.emperor's brother:).

first of all, i've left being a jw in june.

since then my family have tried to convince me it's "the truth" and force me to go back even though it's my own decision.

An Active JW Sister Modelling For Me

since leaving the borg i jumped both feet first into classes i've always wanted to do but was never "allowed" to.

two of which are life drawing and photography.

i've been studying for almost two years now and have seen more nude men and women in our classes than i care to remember.. today in the photography studio i was working in with three others (two women, one man) we were told we had a new person modelling for us.

If you haven't already done it. Look up stories on this forum about how people got their loved ones out.

A poster called OpenMind gave his account of how he did it. Called it the "slow drip" method I think. He was able to get his pioneer wife and kids out.

Seems like slow and careful is often the most successful. It worked in my case.

Whole families leaving the Org has increased

i have noticed in the uk a few families i used to know while in the borg have exited together.

some include former elders and ministerial servants.

i observed on social media pages that the kids have 'worldly' boyfriends and girlfriends and they look so much happier than they did in the org.

My wife, mother, father (was studying after my mother had been a JW for 40 years) and myself basically all walked away at the same time.

I woke up while I was an elder and waited... waited... several years until my wife woke up, my parents followed soon after.

It gave me ulcers, but it was worth it!

That was about six years ago btw.

ExJW responsible for calling the police at the Warwick protest, NOT Watchtower

according to the great apostate, who spent time with police officers at the protest, they informed him that it was not watchtower who called the police in but another exjw who briefly attended the protest and subsequently disapproved of the protesters methods...claiming they were being "violent".. i find this very difficult to understand.

anyone who saw the bravery of the women who stood up in the kingdom hall and told the story of their abuse and rape could not fail to feel compassion and offer their support.. i know there are posters on this forum who disagree with me.they worry that such protests play into watchtowers "persecution" complex, and naturally i understand their position.. but really, how long do we have to fear their power over their members, and through their members, us.. many jw's simply do not know the extent of the paedophile problem,.they do not know about malawi, the un, the bloodless surgery guinea pig deaths ( thank you orphan crow), the suicides....i simply don't believe that protests don't work....if there are enough of them, and they are organized, and most of all if we are united...we shall make a difference, and that difference may be your loved one.. https://youtu.be/ffhr9onbdrk.

now i just heard 50 dead and 200 injured.

whatever it is it just another nut case who was able to get a high power gun to kill people.

No, no it's not the gun laws and access to guns. Maybe the reason 'Merica has so many gun deaths is that the ratio of whacko, violent, assholes is above average. Not much you can do about that.
