It's been quite a while...
by confliction init's been a long time since i have posted here, or logged on- mostly lurking around once in a while, but not as of late... just wanted to drop in and say hi.
most of my activity has been on facebook, so i probably know a lot of you guys on here already- i'm taylor milligan.
lots of things have happened since my disassociation a while back including arguments, threats of being kicked out, encountering shunning firsthand, and to top it all off, i turned 18 a bit ago, and am now on my own- lots of drama between all of this :).. .

Am I wrong?
by confliction ini was just mulling over this in my head- no real research, so feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.. supposedly, 'we' get our information from the gb, correct?.
and jesus is head of said gb?.
so the gb gets their commands only from jesus, correct?.

HAI GUISE =P
by confliction inhello- i haven't been posting on here lately- i've been a busy jw.
but to keep those on track with how things are going, for those who don't know me on facebook ( i'm taylor 'confliction' garrison), here's how things are looking, and my progress as the ever-so doomed apostate i seem destined to be.. .
apart from creating the facebook page, i've created a youtube channel (youtube.com/shunthisass) where i plan to occasionaly post jw related material... but probably mostly to goof around with ( i like making/editing videos).. .

What's your favorite song as of now? And why? Getting to know each other :)
by confliction inmine is god given by nine inch nails.
when i first heard it, it startled me at how closely the lyrics related to the org.... to me it sounds like you bring a bible study to the hall, and you basically hurry him to believe you, change their life to fit your definitions, and get baptized because the end is so near (no more time to waste).
step into the light.

Regularity in meetings and study, and brainwashing.
by confliction inokay, so i was just doing some research on brainwashing and it's effects and how it's put into practice, and i thought this might be interesting to a few of you.. .
howstuffworks.com -> "how brainwashing works".
after that, i must listen to someone read from 1 kings again.

Had an interesting conversation with mom about shunning...
by confliction inso i was speaking about some "problems" and "confusion" i had about the wtbs, and while speaking the subject of shunning came up.. .
long story short, my mom said that if i were (theoretically) ever to leave,.
she would still speak to me and have me over and do all the normal things .

Rutherford and Russel were SPIN DOCTORS?!
by confliction inin public relations, spin is a form of propaganda, achieved through providing an interpretation of an event or campaign to persuade public opinion in favor or against a certain organization or public figure.
while traditional public relations may also rely on creative presentation of the facts, "spin" often, though not always, implies disingenuous, deceptive and/or highly manipulative tactics.[1].
politicians are often accused by their opponents of claiming to be honest and seek the truth while using spin tactics to manipulate public opinion.. because of the frequent association between "spin" and press conferences (especially government press conferences), the room in which these take place is sometimes described as a spin room.

The thousand year reign of pagans...
by confliction inwell, just thought it would be interesting to post this note to any who would care- i've been doing heavy research in trying to justify a paradise earth from the bible (so far, it's almost impossible without leaps and bounds), and it was interesting to come across the term "chiliasm"; up until now i had never heard that term before, so i looked it up.. .
it turns out it's from the greek word "chilioi", which could be translated 'kilo', or 1,000.. well, chiliasm, also called millennialism, is the belief that christ will reign for 1,000 personally over mankind.. of course there are various versions of this doctrine, relating to the belief of the rapture in the second coming of christ- or not.. so, i guess witnesses could be called "chiliasts", correct?.
well here comes the fun part.
