hello, i've finally been approved here so it's time for my first post.

i got disfellowshipped a few months ago as i was unrepentant in my judicial.

i'd lived with a situtation for a long time.

Liveandlearn - who cares what others are doing and what they can get away with. Worry about yourself. That's the kind of mentality one finds among elementary school children. It does not reflect a mature way to go through life as an adult.

You will have to figure out how to balance the lies, knowing you could get caught (by family, friends, elders, etc.) at any moment. You will live a double life. You will be a person with dual identities. Do not think for a moment that you will escape unscathed from living like that.

Liveandlearn - There aren't any magical quick and painless answers to what you want to do. You have someone you are "living" with, don't want to marry necessarily (but don't want to give up "living" with your partner), don't really want to go to all meetings and maybe lie about where you go, etc., etc. etc...but want to get reinstated quickly and painlessly.

No magical ways to get this done, I'm afraid. Figure out what hoops they want you to jump through and do it if you want back in. If you want to live with your sweetie, perhaps move 30 miles away where they won't drop in on you, and commute to meetings. Get creative if you want to do it, but it will not necessarily be quick or painless. It will be pretty tough doing all this work necessary to get back in IMHO.

My Jimi Hendrix experience

as a 13 year old a friend of mine had a jimi hendrix record and told me if we play it backwards that they said words.

he bought the record from a shop not far from where we lived and we were the only family that still had a record player.

so we played the record and i spun it backwards andnothing happened.

Let's face it, as born-ins we did NOT have normal lives. My father had MAJOR freak outs over all kinds of things. I remember he had a seriously major freak out over the Flashdance song. He thought the singer was saying "Take your pants down. And make it happen!" instead of what was actually sung..."Take your passion" (not take your pants down, for heaven's sakes!!!). Gawd.

years ago you read my horror stories about being raped by a jw.

i was nine years old when this took place, now the man has been getting all his works in order.

what do i do to stop the seventy-year old pedophile from getting his position back?

With three young children, this is an issue that makes me very emotional. To think that this happened to a 9 year old!!! The fact is that the Watchtower Corporation cares only about the Corporation.

I don't know what to say other than please hang in there. My thoughts are with you.

2014 Event

i know its a year away but i wanted to inquire about the hundred year anniversary of 1914. it would be amazing to have a world wide event reguarding all exjws.

i am nowhere near capable of putting this together but i'd like to propose the largest assembly of exjws ever on october 1st 2014. can it be done?

am i the first to bring this up?

this morning i get a frantic call from my sister (who has been baptized 1 year and one month and never attends meetings anymore).

in tears she tells me that this morning my father picked her up in the car and told her that i was am apostate.

that i no longer loved jehovah and that i was going to be disfellowshipped.

i hope that i am not eating up alot of bandwidth and annoying anyone.

however as i make my exit i want to reveal as many things as possible.

i have a friend who had doubts about the latest change and wrote a letter.

Good point. Could it be that they know they have to be ready to justify this convoluted mess and have much of the content all ready to copy and paste into a letter (perhaps they have some kind of FAQ doc that they copy and paste this material from as needed to address specific questions. It can then be edited to make it more personal. And voilà! A personal letter response that is highly detailed but that takes only a few minutes to throw together and print out.
