  HEY! WE ARE BACK ONLINE after two days. No Phone or internet since leaving Sioux Falls South Dakota. More of Steve and Joy's Excellent Adventure. This is the Busselman Adventure. We drove a couple extra hours Sunday to be able to link up with the famous Gary Busselman, the excellent author of the Armageddon OKies series and known here as Garybuss. http://www.freeminds.org/buss/okies.htm From the first moment I was pleasantly surprised. Why did I expect a gruff, cantankerous old fart? I was so wrong. I would best describe Gary as A big Smile, That is GaryBuss. Very witty and jovial. Imagine Santa Claus with a Smiley Face smile. writing. Thanks for the evening Gary.

  The lady who answers is very good and has been specifically trained in counseling of this sort.

  Last I heard Jerry Bergman was a whacko.

  I have fought the tendency to come to that conclusion in the past, even monitored the whacky flame war between Bergman and truely whacko Firpo Carr (WT apologist).

  This is an opertunity to observe him in person and make my own judgement. I'm leaving in a minute and hope to get back on this in a couple hours.

  I'm back, and the answer is:

  Oh yeah, that's right... let's SILENCE those we don't agree with. I'm not a Limbaugh fan, but I do not believe in censorship in any form.

  I agree, let his listeners decide to turn the dial. On the other hand Homey is right too. Its entertainment. They may disagree but keep him on the air because they like the entertainment. The worst about this possibility is that the rest of the world may believe this is the way America thinks.

  INDUCE Act Just Introduced into US Senate

  senator orrin hatch has just introduced a bill into the us senate which would criminalize any product or service that "intentionally aids [or] abets" copyright infringement.

  the bill is directed against p2p download services, but the language is so broad that it could easily be interpreted to outlaw ipods, cd burners, and even vcrs.

  that worst case scenario is unlikely to happen.

  you will be able to walk down the street with an AK-47 and an iPod and be arrested for carrying the iPod

  Nawww. the guy with the AK-47 has his ear piece attached to his short wave radio. It is the little kids bopping on their ipods that will get arrested.

  as much information, insight and entertainment this forum provides, some things about its format and design have come to annoy me.

  let me start by saying that i think one of the biggest weaknesses of this forum may be the active topics option at the top.

  it seems to me that some people may use this option just to see which topics are still alive.

  i had my girls over last night for dinner.

  during the conversation, we talked about a number of things, in where i detected that they have grown up so much in making decisions for themselves that are totally contrary to the borg beliefs and standards.

  the movies they watch, music they listen to, people they hang out with, parties they go to, video games they play.. i have talked to my girls everyday since last week.

  several glasses of plum wine ( my youngest thought it tasted like Robitusson)

  Gawd, that gave me images of late nights with the spoon in hand trying to coerce a three year old to take the Robitusson. (it was much worse with the asthma medicine) All those good times and bad times.

  So glad you have your girls back.
