have any of you on this forum, ever met up with anyone considered famous?
i've met a great deal of people over the years.
one of my most memorable: dennis leary, drinking a few pints with him as he sang "margaritaville" from the jukebox.
Its Tony Danza.....He filled in for the Righteous Brothers at Clark State Performing Arts Center at the Kuss Auditorium here in Springfield. I picked up Tony, his manager, and his band at the airport. Then I hung out with them for the day. I even took Tony to the pawn shop. He bought a horn that he played that night during his performance.

okay, now i can contribute to this tread....
you know... last year i chickened out... but i'm thinkin there's these two trees in front of my old hall... and they look just like xmas trees... god, wouldn't it be funny if...?
if we had a mass movement and bunch of apostates went to as many kh in their cities and threw some decorations up?
i wonder if the dubs would think it's the end of the world!
Very funny idea...but, Christmas decorations are so darn expensive...go to the all for one dollar store or the dollar tree to get your decorations. Don't spend alot of money on these people that won't even appriciate your sence of humor.
And take lots of pictures.

my son's band...tree of woe...was played on one of our local radio stations tonight...in a "music knock-out"...and if they win they will get played another night!

And never NEVER confess to an elder.

by telling your boyfriend you will accomplish what? relief from your guilt?
by telling your boyfiend you will hurt him, loose some of his trust, possibly loose him completely. is it worth it?
by not telling him, you and you alone will have to live with the pain of your guilt. let it be a constant reminder of what you will never let happen again.
also remember, we are only human, we make mistakes, learn from them and move on.
I know you will make the best decision for you.

i was looking on the thread on music when i just thought to ask that question.
for me, it was gwar's violence has arrived.
i remember loving that band so much when i first heard of them to the point where i downloaded everything they had, from album mp3's to rare bootlegs.
I bought Rod Stewart's 'Blondes have more fun'
which included ' do ya think i'm sexy'
My dad found it and it was quickly distroyed.... That was in 1979

i had a very good conversation with my jw friend today.
it arose out of my invitation to our yearly friendship service at church this sunday.
she was so nice, but said it might prove difficult, since jws made a specific commitment to jehovah, and the doctrine of our church was trinitarian and she would feel very uncomfortable.. then she asked me who i thought god was.
..Great job. She is hearing just what she needs to know. Thank goodness you are there to point it out to her. Keep up the good work.
