  when i left home 27 years ago i had $1500 and a credit card and a car loan.

  Yikes! Propaganda everywhere

  everyone wanting us to share their point of view.. they want our minds, our money, our votes and our mouths to spread their propaganda.

  propaganda controls the cultural and social order of the world.. it takes more time to read, listen to thoughful educational programming and do research, so 99% of people just follow the.

  im fading, and some of my family now realize we arent going to meetings.

  everytime they phone or speak to me me, they keep reminding ( threatning) that the end is so close, dont give up now.. i just dont know how to respond, i know so much, but dont want to go into the un stuff yet ( dont want to sound apostate just yet) how can i say i dont believe the end is close !

  that armageddon isnt iminent, what scripture can i use to back it up.

  do you think the end is near?

  i will say that the "evidence" for a drastic change in mankinds history (end of the world, the great day of god the almighty, what ever you want to call it) seems likely when doing a survey of where mankind is a the current point in time.

  nuclear weapons, wars, technology, globalization, and ecological destruction all seem to point towards a place that mankind has never been before.

  mankind is unquestionably in a position differant from any point in human history.

  well i agree every day should be lived to the fullest extent possible. heck, that's what life is about.

  no supernatural being exists that will magically intervene in the earth's events.

  the two major things that are different now than in past times are nuclear weapons and the global economy.

  nuclear war could of course alter the shape of the world very quickly.

  the global economy is also going to shape the world. the amazing differences in the levels of personal income will be

  evened out by global market forces. billions of new consumers will be created which will vastly change living conditions

  for non-humans. more and more environmental resources will be needed to keep up with consumer demand. that will

  change the world. the world won't end, but its evolution will not be pleasant for everyone or everything.

  this issue came up with my jw nephew(17).

  i jumped at the chance at using it to prove that the org is a fraud but then the focus changed slightly.

  Hard to deal with

  im a young jehovahs witness, baptized at 8 years old, and now i regret the decision.

  i miss my sister so bad, shes been disfellowshipped for 3 or 4 years now, and i still talk to her sometimes over email and online, but its not the same as talking in real life.

  i get random crying episodes, like last night at meeting.

  go see your sister. i'm sure she would meet you somewhere. god does not believe in separating people from those they love.
