Generation 'New Light' is Actually Working
by zoiks inas ridiculous as it seems to me and most of you, the infamous 'generation' update has every jw that i know in a tizzy.
they're all worked up about how 'exciting' it all is.
i just received a letter from my mom (she only communicates through letters now), and she brought it up - how they carefully explained it at the convention, and how it shows that we are so close to the end.. unbelievable.

The New Jeremiah Book
by zoiks inmy mother-in-law just got back from her convention and gave us the new releases, this jeremiah book included.
just a quick scan of it has revealed a few gems.. first of all, there is a chapter entitled, "you can benefit from the new covenant" (italics theirs).
i am not a christian, but i understand the beef that many will have with this entire chapter.

Increasing Light and Cleaning Products
by zoiks inwell, with the increasing light being shed upon the godly meaning of the word 'generation', i decided it was time to do something about our choice of cleaning products.. you see, my wife had purchased a bottle of dish soap called "seventh generation".
curious as to whether the 'generation' they were referring to was the biblical generation, i looked at the back of the bottle and saw this slogan:.
"'in our every deliberation, we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations.

Validation and defense mechanisms, or why it's ok for billions to die
by zoiks inmore and more i have been thinking about the mindset that considers the idea that billions are to be destroyed at armageddon as perfectly ok. farkel's articles on freeminds.org really helped to bring it home for me.
as jws, we do (or did) think it was perfectly reasonable that billions will have earned a death sentence simply for not accepting religious literature from an uninvited person at their doorstep.
how do otherwise good people (for the most part) come to accept genocide as an acceptible, even good, solution to the problems they see and experience?.
