Please help. I am losing the plot.

after being a witness for 40 years, i now find myself disfellowshipped.. i have had a number of doubts for a few years now, but still feel as if i'm living my life in the "t minus " to armageddon spector.. my parents are in their 80's and my dear mother is in very bad health.

i was allowed to pop through - about once a month to make sure my parents were ok and for them to see their grandchildren.

this all ended after the july watchtower article and especially since the district convention - with all the "counsel" on associating with disfellowshipped family members.. around 6 weeks ago, my dad asked me point blank why i wasn't trying to get reinstated.

What you are going through is what Jesus Christ said would happen.

The question you have to answer in your mind is whether someone has screwed around with Jesus Christs baptism.

If you can come to terms with that then there is a large degree of comfort which can be obtained.

Luke 12:49-53

Being told you are hated by everyone?

okay, after a discussion with the seperated wife who admitted that because she is a jehovahs witness that she expects to be hated by everyone.

she expressed that she was "foreign" and not the same as others since she is not of this world.

okay, reality check - this is actually taught by the watchtower?

Yes, I find it ironic that Jehovah's Witnesses claim that it is they who are being hated.

Especially after this years conventions where they were taught to hate all of the "mentally diseased" so called apostates.

Who is it then that is really doing the hating.

If there are any in the Ex-JW community who still read the bible then you probably remember several places in scripture which describe the end time "hate" being between brothers!

The "hate" is not between Christians and so called Worldly people.

The "hate" is between Christians brothers and Christian brothers!

The "hate" is not inclusive of the "World".

I do NOT see the EX-JW community teaching each other that they have to "hate" the Jehovah's Witnesses.

I do however, see and hear the leadership of the Watchtower Society teaching their own membership that they have to hate those excluded from their community (aka EX-JWs).

The extreme vilification of the EX-JW community is blatanty profound!

Isaiah 66:5

Hear the word of Jehovah, YOU men who are trembling at his word: "YOUR brothers that are hating YOU, that are excluding YOU by reason of my name, said, ‘May Jehovah be glorified!’ He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part, and they are the ones that will be put to shame."

It is not "Worldly" people hating Christians!

IT IS CHRISTIANS HATING CHRISTIANS!

My motivation towards Jehovah's Witnesses is completely benevolent even though they insist on lyingly saying every sort of wicked thing about me!

Matthew 5:11-12

What constitutes 'proof' on JWN?

recently there have been a few threads where claims have been made alledging personal negative effects in 'real life' following internet activity on jwn and other ex-jw related sites.

discussion then ensues, aspects of which may include 3rd parties either disputing the truth or affirming the likelihood of the claim.

questions are asked.

A proof to me, is where the sheer number of published and easily accessable evidences reaches a point beyond coincidence and where any thought of scepticism becomes unreasonable.

On JWN it's a little different.

If a proof reaches the point where scepticism is unreasonable and the implication to the audiance is not convenient, the thread will be ignored and quickly sink away.

When Is Armageddon? Really?

yeah, i know that it's been just around the corner for as long as there have been corners, but my question adds just a little different twist, and that twist is: is there anything (according to the gb) that needs to take place before armageddon?

or can it happen any moment?

and what will be the first signs of armageddon?

Not sure what I can actually believe anymore, (in that it's not twisted and full of lies) have to re-learn everything I guess.

i was approached by an elder about a year ago asking what i am going to do with my large collection of wt literature.

he told me the society had put word out that they were collecting old literature.

i asked him why but he couldn't give me a definite answer.

Ask him if they want your old paradise forever book. If he says yes then ask why for we saw with our own eyes the one day at bethel a couple of brothers standing in front of a huge pile of books on the ground ripping the hard covers off the books. The paper was going to a recycleing company.
