Hello everyone!
by Planetsmashers inive been lurking for a while and finally got around to registering.
about me: i was essentially born in & indoctrinated from youth.
i was always a borderline "bad association" type because i always did the minimum and always disagreed with much of what was taught; even when i was a child.. luckily for me my father was never a jw so i never had to endure the male head pressure.

So sorry for your loss.
The main thing is, your mother loved you. Those were her last words to you, and no one can take them away. No doubt you were in her thoughts until the end. Please hold on to the good memories, and make wonderful memories with your own family.

Nearly Killing My Mother Wasn't Enough !
by cookiemaster inas some of you might have read last week, my mother had extremely low hemoglobin and without it, she would have died.
i have somehow managed to bring her to reason and accept the transfusion.
it saved her life.

How is your dad in all of this? I hope he is fed up with the JWs and ready to back your mom and get out.
It would be nice if you could just all get together and have a wonderful celebrate mom day, and at the first opportunity that she feels up to it, take a nice trip or outing, and all of you agree to never mention the WT Society again.

Welcome! So glad you and hubbie are out together!!!!! I hope the rest of your family is not shunning you.
Isn't it wonderful to think for yourself? And also, isn't Christmas beautiful?
I so agree with always thinking you are not good enough. If you went out in service when you were sick, someone else did it blind with one leg, etc. Some of those stories were almost unbelievable.

Fading and finding our REAL beliefs
by BeautifulMind inhey all.
i hope you are all having a good day.
just a quick update on our fade.

Welcome to the forum.
So glad you and your husband are together in your fade. So many times this is not the case, and the results are tragic.
Only you and your husband can figure how to do things for the benefit of your family. I hope the grandparents do not try to prod you to return or shun you if they find out about your fade. Show them love and hope for the best!

Welcome to the forum.
My husband and I are out together, so others may have valuable advice for you on that part. I would just say to be patient. You are in a difficult situation. There is no way to just leave the JWs as we know. At this time don't say anything to anyone about your beliefs or decisions.
Hoping the best for you. Be patient with hubbie...this is uncharted territory for him, too.

I am with the others. Do talk to your parents about being lonely. See if you can take some sort of classes away from home. Maybe you could volunteer at an animal shelter or perform some other community service. Please be patient.I'll bet you are very smart...you found us, didn't you? Keep investigating more information on the computer. Do some research on subjects you'd like to know about. Go to the library. They even have places for teens, and book clubs. You can become well read. Abraham Lincoln was largely self taught, became a lawyer, and then President.
Yes, you'll be driving soon and can get about with a bit more freedom. Make some goals for your future, especially in the realm of education. Have patience. You can do it!

"And what happened next was simply unbelievable!"
by Terry ini always sit in the same spot, just outside starbucks in a vestibule area with a table in the air-conditioned space.
i say "always," but not today.. somebody with two laptops and a table filled with business ledgers was in "my" favorite spot!.
so, i took a tiny wooden table inside the coffee shop on a long padded bench next to 3 other identical tables.. as the clickbait banner ads like to say: "and what happened next was simply unbelievable!".

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. So they had to put on their big boy pants and get a verbal whoopin. They will live and hopefully be better for it.
You are sooo right about the heat here in Texas. It is cruel and unusual punishment to expect anyone to wear a suit jacket in service. In fact, it can be life threatening just to be out in such heat.
Yeee haw....you done good!
