It would be inappropriate to display a “showy means of life” by bringing paper with monograms, watermarks or printed patterns. Plain paper only would be the acceptable. Extra soft would also be allowed for those with skin conditions but a doctors certificate will be required.

A qualified Ministerial servant will be appointed to inspect and make sure proper standards and correct application is adhered to. The position of Appointed Sphincter Servant ( or ASS for short) will be for a qualified brother of good standing. Contributions for the World Wide Comfort Fund

A special contribution box will be set up for voluntary bethel workers who have no families (ahhhh). Those who wish to contribute to the “World Wide Comfort Fund” Should place their toilet tissue ( and other donated materials such as Gold, Diamonds, Negotiable bonds, and precious works of art ) in the box labelled W.C. As the society is not equipped for recycling no used paper to be placed in the contribution box

What to do in and emergency

If an emergency should arise notify your ASS as soon as possible. He will consult the PO who will check the WC for contributions. You will be required to sign a recept in triplicate which on conclusion of your business you should take to the LS (literature servant).

Request from Writing department

All ASS’s are requested to direct material from the WC direct to the writing department for inclusion in the next Watchtower.

"Special Meeting" 4/27/03 ???

my friend who is a jw happened to mention to me last night that there is a "special meeting" today, sunday 4/27/03.

i know the jw do things in a lock-step, uniform way so i wondered if this is an organization-wide special meeting or could it just be a local one?

is a local meeting that isn't in accordance with country- or world-wide uniformity allowed?

not being racist in any way but i dont see any photos of black or spanish gatherings posting on the board , what is the reason for this yes if i bring out controvesy then feel free ,sorry no ime not racist,as i am from mixed parentage ,or dont other nationalitys feel the need to heal themselves after the borg have they been so dissasimilated that they dont trust anyone else,come out from behind your masks and reveal the real you.

Did Dubs Ever Share Accommodation?

it started me wondering, was there ever any desire among single dubs of similar age and gender to share digs?

was such a move encouraged or frowned upon by elders?

I was in a dub singles flat for a while - I went on holiday and came back to find they had rented my room to someone else. I was big time pissed off.

if god spoke to a man and told him to write down what he said, how are we to distinguish this writing from other people who say god spoke to them?

we know the human beings can lie about anything for any reason.

if a writing supposedly contains prophesy, some say it wasn't prophesy and was written after the fact.

Kingdom Increase District Convention

remember the kingdom increase district convention - "the increase is on" was the catch cry.

we were expecting a ten fold increase in publishers just before armagedon.

stories were being told of congregations growing so quickly they split several times, only had a ms as the po and there was standing room only at the public talks.

Well it would apear that "Kindom Increase" is Watchtower speak for "Kingdom Stagnation" because thats exactly what happend.
