gosh... i cannot believe i have been disfellowshipped for over a year!

its so surreal.

because of my ingrained belief that the jw organisation is the one and only true religion, i often think about everything that has happened quite often.

My impression is that a great many JW's of both genders are trapped in sexless marriages.

And the ones of us that were not in a sexless marriage wish we were. It is a total lose, lose in JW world.

BBQ sounds like fun! cleaning closets -Yikes

LongHairGal...I feel so stupid about engaging in such dumb activity too. It is so nice to be able to leave town and not worry if you will be stumbling someone because you won't be there for Saturday service or the Sunday meeting. Or worry that others may see you as a lover of pleasure.

this article also briefly questions whether it is really safe in the modern world to engage in this form of proselytizing.. it's certainly interesting to hear an outsider's perspective on the repetitive nature of the preaching work, even though jws would argue that this is an isolated case.. .

The Spanish man that lives across the street from me told me that when the English speaking witnesses come, he speaks only in Spanish, when the Spanish speaking witnesses come he pretends to not know Spanish.

Cataloging the damage of the Watchower in my life

1. jehovah's witnesses interferance in my parents marriage leading to mother rejecting father who could not come at the teachings.. 2. my mother taking us 500km away from father to start a new life with a much older jw man just after armageddon didnt come in 75...for teaching us that he was evil and deserved to be killed by god.. 3. bullying at school for being a jw, resulting in only one friend all through school and learning little social interaction.

leading to leaving early with no education beyond year 10.. 4. marrying way to young for love?....

5. making me feel like a demon for being human.. 6. rejection by all friends and wife because i couldn't stick it.. 7. not going back to wife because of rejection, nervous breakdown by freeing wife and believing i was now doomed to die.. 8. almost leaving my childrens lives by both suicide and disapearing.. 9. wifes support by wt to force me out of their lives and for coaching her to do this.

A sure sign the End is Near....

the end of the month, that is, and someone apparently needs to get their hours in.... this resourceful jw (in the left side of the photo) set up shop for a few hours outside a local starbucks, with a wt and awake laid out on a table.

and i i don't think he talked to anyone the whole time he was out there (a few hours).. sure beats all that walking from door-to-door, which would likely result in a bunch of not-at-homes on a weekday: most people are at work.. (i approached him when entering, and asked him about the parable of faithful and "discreet" slave, and asked him what he thought the difference was between a parable and prophecy.

after getting a non-answer (that basically meant he didn't know), i wished him a good morning and went on my way.... .

last year.....after the packers / bills game, buffalo released quarterback trent edwards.

after the packers / cowboys game, dallas fired wade phillips and most of his staff .

after the packers / vikings game, minnesota fired brad childress and most of his staff.
