now, the po and another elder has scheduled to talk with my wife tonight for a sheparding call at the home of the book study.

Everytime I hear anything about this idea of Elders getting involved in marriages, I have the urge to push for "Wifely Dues". Make sure the Elders emphasize that she is REQUIRED by JEHOVAH to put out. (I really can't get over that) I've never heard is the requirement to spread legs on command, or does she need to kiss too?

Doing evil to others often has nothing to do with your own intentions. Many people do not care what "the Truth" is. They only want the confort and sanity of a world where everything is known, everyone obeys the social rules, and there is nothing to feel anxious about.
The reason they respond so strongly when we try to Bring_the_Light is many don't want it, and they know they don't want it.
The Cult to a large extent is not perverting the thinking of otherwise "normal" people. It is giving people what they want, when it cannot be found in any other venue. Indeed, "there is no safe place to go" when you walk out into the Light.

i will preface the start of this first by saying this happened many years ago - in 1985 when i had just become a new father myself to my dear son flipper junior, i'll call him.
when i explain this to you, some of this may appear comical, in fact, now that i overcame it years ago, i can laugh at it, but when you see the totality of the story- when it happened then to me- it was no laughing matter.

Not me. I'm finding more and more and more now that I'm hanging with the Ex-Dub community that:
1. I am not alone in my suffering from this god-forsaken organization.
2. My suffering is trivial compared to most others.
I had serious questions by 9 years old and was settled that its not the truth by age 13. I FINALLY know for sure that I wouldn't be "happier" faking it as of maybe a few months ago. Until then it sort of hung over me not worrying about whether it was true, but losing people who really got into my heart and having no real community. Going back and seeing my old friends brainwashed to the point of drooling and the pure insanity of the thing has really given me complete peace for the first time.
Most people here dealt with it much longer and have made much more serious sacrifices than I have to get out. I greatly respect you all for your courage. It can be painful to walk into the Light.
