You are AWAKE! Yes, it's amazing how clouded your mind can become when you've listened to the bull$hit for years.
One thing that always digusted me when listening to their drivel is how they insert themselves into prophecy fulfillment.
"See here in Revelation ... that other angel is Charles Taze Russell who is shouting from the Heavens." Those rants
really made me sick.

Am I an idiot??? - ok, don't answer that... but, seriously... I've....
by cognac innoticed that i'm seeing all these things that i didn't see before... like when the wt or revelaton book states something, or when the bible states something... i mean, i never noticed this many things before... before, i noticed only a few major doctrine issues.
but, now, i'm noticing things all the time.... i mean, i'm trying to take a break.
i'm trying to not pay attention... but, they are saying things that really piss me off and i'm wondering to myself, what the hell was wrong with me... how did i not notice it before???

I have lost all desire to study the bible... This sucks...
by cognac ini just feel that the bible was put in place so that people can use it for guidelines and so forth.
i don't think that you have to know everything to be accepted by god.... the only problem is, is that i no longer study with my husband either.
now, he's not seeing the truth for what it is and starting to revert back to jw land... but, just the thought of studying anymore makes me sick... it's just, when you study so much after awhile you just can't take it anymore... i would like to actually enjoy my life a little bit.... i'm sick of trying to prove my viewpoint.

There is no obligation to read and understand the Bible. Jesus didn't command it. In fact, one only needs to remember the
two most important commandments: Love God with your whole heart, soul and mind. Love your neighbor. Also, recall John 5:39 ""You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify
about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life."Examining scriptures is not necessary. Just put your faith in Jesus and let Him refresh you.

Hmmm. I thought the anointed class was supposed to be dwindling - not rising. This is very odd.

Lets talk about Jesus!
by real one inluke 4:16-19 jesus, went back to nazareth, where he had been brought up, and as usual he went to the meeting place on the sabbath.
when he stood up to read from the scriptures, he was given the book of isaiah the prophet.
he opened it and read,.

[temp thread hijack]
momz, when I was studying with an Elder in the Knowledge Book, I asked him what would happen in the New System if someone were to
accidently fall off a cliff or mountain - would they die? He said that people could die in the New System if they were careless, but I thought
of the scripture that says "no more death, sorrow or pain". So, before Adam sinned - could he have fallen from a mountain and not be hurt?
Even those who are resurrected on Earth, is it possible for them to not be injured? I guess gravity will be different somehow?

If I recall, the official WTBTS answer to that scripture was the result of the earthquake that propped open the tombs and the corpses were
sitting up in their graves to give the appearance that they were risen. Yeah, sounds like a weak explaination to me. -

Did you pay tithing to the WTBTS?
by sacolton ini didn't and i'm glad.
i think we dropped $10 in the contribution box at one assembly, but that's it.. how much did you lose?.
-

I know they don't outright say "tithing", but that's what the "contribution box" seems to insinuate.
