  i recently posted about what would happen if my mom got sick,seeing that i'm apostate.

  even today i posted on a thread about blood transfusions.. i just received a text from my brother saying that my mom is in hospital and requires a transfusion to survive....is this a coincidence?.

  am i being punished by jehovah, or is the devil out to get me...i dont know anymore what to do.... things are getting too much, guess i should not have joked so much in my posts..

  Last nights CLAM meeting

  so hadn't been to a clam meeting in quite a few months, but went last night.

  so we learned that gog of magog is not satan as previously believed.

  they used a few scriptures that made it clear that it couldn't be satan and that it would be a coalition of nations.

  Have you noticed this trend on social media amongst witnesses...?

  it seems that every 2nd witness often posts pictures of themselves at conventions, or out in 'service'.

  but i have noticed that they never seem to post anything about the actual "spiritual content" of their activity!

  instead, it is pictures of them with their witness "friends", along with some contrite comment like #bestlifeever (arrghhh).

  just wondering what the accepted platform of social media is allowable for them these days, the very last contact with any active jw (my sister) on FB seems to have been a few years back but if I'm not mistaken they seem to like Instagram are the GB letting them use it without castigating them for doing so?

  temples and churches were looted and religious statues destroyed.. this image was taken by li zhengshen at the jile temple in august 1966. the sign on the wall translates as "smash the old world".. will the left never learn?.

  I remember The Nutty Professor as a very young kid indeed , a brilliant movie , the utter crap of a remake by Eddie Murphy was dire beyong words, The King of Comedy struck a chord with me also De Nero was brilliant.RIP JL.

  Over 300 DFed apparently went to a northern U.K R.C!

  that's what i've been told by a family member (elder) who went to one of the regional conventions in the north of the u.k lately, who told me the 300 or more disfellowshipped who returned to jehovah by attending show that the end is so close, just like the final talk says..

  Ruby do you think the 55% that go back is a hunch or a wild guess? you've not quoted any sources to confirm this, their own worldwide reports especially in Europe/Australia/USA/Japan and many more first world nations show that their growth is so minimal its laughable , how many nations have reported zero/minimal and negative growth rates? how many countries are consolidating and liquidating and merging KH's? how much real estate in terms of branch facilities and KH's have they sold off in recent years? 55% return rate is very substantial amount indeed and would reflect that they are a booming group in regards of new recruits also, I think you've just plucked this 55% figure out of thin air, I believe there is a far easier and genuine stat if you search for those that have/are leaving and are never returning ,in my earlier post I mentioned the amount of exjw's from my age group that left during the 1980's/90's and I cant think of any of them why have returned and it is quite a substantial figure indeed, I believe like me you are UK based, that would contradict your "55%" return rate with just the group of people I know which if I put my mind to it would probably be a good 200 or so.

  we just had a huge international convention here in romania.

  at least huge by local standards.

  22,000 in attendance in one location and around 44,000 throughout the country.

  certainly not the case when I look at the amount of ex jw's that are of my age group and that left during the 1980's/90's , I cant think of any that have gone back, we've all got on with our lives and moved on from those times, and how on earth can it be a gauge that we are close to the end? I would have thought there could have been a slight increase of inactive/DF'ed ones coming back during the 1975 fiasco and the end of the millennium, using guilt yet again.

  i would like to state publicly, on this forum, i no longer hold the views i had a year ago.. with much thought, research, study and logical examination i have come to a better understanding of my beliefs and where i stand on all these issues.. i'm very happy to announce i have returned to healthful teaching of the holy scriptures and i firmly believe that the governing body of jehovah's witnesses is the faithful slave.. sorry if i have contibuted to any kind of stumbling and know that if i can turn things around then there's hope for all who come to there sence.. phill4:6,7.
