my mother had the jehovahs witnesses round the other day , she said a nice man said "i see you are a do not call,and wondered if you would like the witnesses to start calling on you again " my mum replied "do you know a man called"joe bloggs" he said yes i have heard of him ("joe bloggs is my childs abuser ,an ex dub and "truth"lover" my mum said "well he raped my grandaughter, and do you know that none of his family or his wife who are all in your religion ever apologised to my grandaughter and have supported him instead despite the fact that they know he is a child molester " he said "oh i am so sorry , i am new to the area " i bet he wished the ground could have swallowed him up !

Did you suffer from self hatred in the borg?
by highdose iniwill be the first to say that i did.
not surprising considering how they treated me all my life.
i had conseling for it ( wordly counselor) but between us neither one could work out where this issue came from.

Difference between "raised in the truth" and "converts" that are now X-JWs.
by Brocephus ini am noticing a difference..... "raised in's" seem to be a little more relaxed and better suited for their world after the kh.
"converts" seem to be a little disoriented.
maybe b/c they saw the truth as away out of this crazy world only to be massive dissapointed.

by looloo inlast summer there was a big upset caused by an article (july ,ithink) in the awake about a hindu lady that upset her family by leaving her religion and joining jehovahs witnesses and the ironic thing was it had the above quote in it , that someone should not have to choose between family and religion !
i printed the article off and underlined that section , and recently sent it to my inlaws along with a letter , because they are upset about not seeing their grandchild because they banned their son from the house (he sdisfellowshipped) i am trying to sort the situation out , and i thought they might notice the hypocrisy in the article , however that idea did not work as apparently" there are lies on the internet !
" and father in law was not very happy to receive it , but it is from an awake magazine ,watchtower literature !

actively defending a child molester ,is it a disfellowshipping offence ?
by looloo inhi , teel has commented on another thread about a po being disfellowshipped for actively defending his sons "deed"that resulted in his son being sentt to prison , it does not say what the crime was , and this made me wonder if a po got disfellowshipped for this is it possible that the wife and family of my childs rapist got into any trouble for supporting him , rather than my daughter (we are not jws) and the other jw victims , she supported him and took him back after his prison sentence, his brothers were verbally and physically abusive to another victims jw mother calling her now grown up daughter a liar etc (outside the kingdom hall ) it amazed me when i saw her out on the ministry , why would she be allowed to represent "the truth" when she does not know it herself ?
just imagine if she had a "call" that showed a interest in having a study with her , and that study asked about her kids and husband ?
imagine her saying "oh yes i have two wonderfull children im raising alone at the moment because my husband is a convicted child rapist serving a prison sentence for raping my old school friends as children and my friends child but i think they all made it up despite not having any contact with eachother for over ten years !

yes it took a while , but i was not born in so it was much easier for me , i eventually did fit in but workmates dont tell me rude jokes the way they do eachother , and someone told me that im considered a bit prudey and "innocent" but well liked , which im happy with ! dont be afraid to be "different"its better than being fake x

dan browns the lost symbol , i was told to read it !
by looloo inan old friend who knew i had always been "searching for truth" told me to read chapter 111 if nothing else , i did , and i dont know if im more scared than when i was in the cult or feel better for reading it (the latter, i think ) he said i should read the davinci code ,angels and demons , then the lost symbol but i feel guilty for reading stuff like that (you can take the girl out the truth but not the truth out the girl ) has anyone else read these books or knows about chapter 111 when it talks of revalation in the bible ?.
