But i really wanted to reflect all the achievements from the civil rights movement until now. Blacks and African-Americans have come along way especially from racism and discrimination and some of the remarks from the WT regarding blacks and interracial relationships etc. So yeah Dr.king inspired me to dream and reach high beyond my goals from the WT perspective So all in all i wanted to express my appreciation of a great man who paveded the way and broke the chains of repression. I LUV U Dr. King

i was just thinking about this the other day, about how my ideas of a romantic partner have changed since being a jw.. growing up, i thought i would marry a very upstanding jw, we would pioneer together, do missionary work, have children, see the world.
(never had any thoughts about bethel, though.
) so what it boiled down to was a stepford husband, up tight, not the least bit sexual, closed minded bore.. so now that i have grown up, seen the world, been married (and actually picked a good man the first time, although it didn't work out), i just contrast that with what i am attracted to now.. i like them open minded, earthy, i love artistic types because i am a published writer, hair doesn't matter to me (long/short, bald, etc), challenges convention, very sexual, still like a traveling man.. i am just curious if you anyone else can compare and contrast how their ideas have changed since breaking out the group-think of the jw organization..
a guy who is witty and who can think on his feet (street smarts) daring and dashing but down to earth and it would not hurt to be ADVENTEROUS would it?
if anybody know a guy like that let me know

when i was 9 i wanted to be daisy duke from the dukes of hazzard, but had to put aside the dream when i realised my legs weren't going to ever get any longer.. when i was 12 i wanted to be ghandi, but realised wars wouldnt stop because i missed breakfast.. when i was 16 i decided that by leaving the borg and living fast and hard enough being alice cooper was achievable.. now i'm 32 i think i'd quite like to have the sensuous, striking confidence and certainty of helen mirren when i grow up.. who did you want to be and why?.
When i was a weee lasssie i've always dreamt of being a rock star just like Deborah Anne Dyer from Skunk Anansie. i've like her image even though she was unknown in the US. But since i don't have the voice like her. i've got a good forte in the health and science field therefore i am pursuing it at a very young age i'm glad that i did not listen to the elders who told me not to go to college. So sky's the limit for me aint nothing going to hold me down now and not ever!

we here in the fl panhandle were "blessed" to have some 25 ish y/o brothers from tx move here recently.
they had the usual welcoming party two weeks ago, and all the young bros from mobile to fort waalton showed up to welcome them!
the only thing was, there was no elder to supervise!
Seriously strange times in what should be a tranquil small town, and I can't even blame it on Rednecks!
u got that right i'm glad that left the panhandle i just feel sorry 4 the dubs who are board to tears up their IMHO.

Why are all the wired things happening in the panhandle of FLA i remember last year when i lived there near mobile hint, hint their were so many astrochase cases of animal cruelty and some weird ones at the KH. I knew a sister who treated me like a charity case but she could not help me out b/c she was a nut case who partook in the memorial last year but she did not want to reveal/tell what congo she came from etc, etc. but back 2 ur thread yeah i would send those pics in to the cops so all the parents in town can be sure to stay away from these dubs. geesh

I thought it meant that JWs were sending their women out onto the beaches in Florida and handing out tracts in their bikinis and all the guys grabbed the tracts and really read them for once resulting in a huge increase of males into the organization
you've got that right stilla BTW P-cola Beach/Panama City is a good spot LOL!

what i did was totally out of character for me.
i had a sharp pare of scissors in my hand and i was just so angry.
before i knew what happened i had thrust them forward... over and over... once i finally stopped i just couldn't believe the mess everywhere.
