Ex-JW should take advantage of the podcast technology
by Hiddenwindow ini listen to podcasts several times a week.
while surfing itunes and downloading programs, i see a lot of ex-mormons podcasts, which i usually put in my ipod, but practically none from jw.
shouldn't we take advantage of this?

A question for the apologists of the Watch Tower
by Hiddenwindow indear apologists of the wt:.
i do not mean to be sarcastic of ironic, but, please, if you are so kind, respond to this question.
how do you conciliate defending the watch tower on a forum like this with the fact that, as you perfectly know, such organization bans you (if you are still in) from being part of this type of forum and would even disfellowship you for instisting in being here?.

The spiritual bully
by Hiddenwindow inthe watch tower falsely claims that the entire international witness brotherhood holds to the same way of thinking on doctrinal matters; that all members in the congregation who are good christians deeply believe in whatever the faithful and discreet slave provides.
well, one thing is to pretend that you are in agreement with whatever is presented to you and something very different is to really believe in it.
it must be reminded that nowadays, in most mainstream religious groups, political parties or other forms of social groups, absolute uniformity in the way of thinking is not a prerequisite to join, because those groups recognize that such uniformity is not possible.

The WT would do anything (really, anything) for a good reputation
by Hiddenwindow inone of the most troubling characteristics of this cult is (now we know it) it would anything in order to present itself as a reputable religion.
this obsession is pretty pervasive.
when taken into account, it explains many things, such as .

God overthrown by the Watch Tower
by Hiddenwindow inthe level of arrogance of the watch tower has no limits.
in genesis 18:23-33 we find abraham trying to reason or even negotiate with god.
this is something you cannot even dream of doing with the governing body.

Does the Watch Tower get you through the night?
by Hiddenwindow ini have to insist on this.. a friend of mine, who is currently an elder (so am i, but will soon fade), once confessed to me that the most important thing for him is that his children grow drug-free, violence-free, and so forth (that type of thinking is, of course, the result of the wt indoctrination process, which divides the world in two: jw here and satan's people there).
in other words, for many witnesses the issue is not if this is the true religion or not; it is a matter of how do i get through the night?

JW parents apreciate it when the State saves their children
by Hiddenwindow inhttp://www.catholic.org/hf/health/story.php?id=30411.
i have seen similar cases before.
when jw parents find themselves in the middle of obeying the wt or letting their children die, they usually obey the wt (we all know what indoctrination and fear mean).

NBC report and the WT insulting position
by Hiddenwindow init is a real shame that the wt acts this way, keeping things barely legal, reporting cases only when mandated by the aurthorities, while showing an obvious disregard for the victims.
it is deeply sad that jw children are being protected, not by the wt, but by the media and the so-called apostates, because it is only after the exposure that the wt has started to turn this into a real issue.
and, as said by others in this forum, they are still missing the point.

This is important (quoting Jeremy C.)
by Hiddenwindow inthe society insists in its cultish talk.
given the secretive nature of the governing body's delibarations, we do not know what they are preparing for.
both besy and jeremy c. made excellent contributions to a recent thread, and i want to follow up.
