PALE- Your statement - " They ( your mom & other JWS ) just assume she's not going to meetings for a bit but will " come to their senses " . And that is what's part of the problem here. Your mom and her sissy husband with no backbone are being intrusive into your ex-wife's boundaries and your children, and by extension your boundaries - by trying to " save " your wife by being " supportive " to her and I'm sure part of the motive is to keep JW control over your wife and children.
The other posters here are correct. This is between you and your ex-wife. I would stop getting into it with your JW mom as your mom will manipulate the situation to align herself in a more deeply entrenched way with your ex-wife and child. You need to have a one on one talk personally face to face with your ex-wife to sort this out and attempt to get her on the same page with you- avoiding your mom's interference. Just my 2 cents. jw funeral last night.
it was about half an hour from start to finish.
they opened with basic facts about the person.

I told my wife and son if I ever die before them I want to have " Stairway to Heaven " by Led Zeppelin played at my memorial service and for folks to just remember the good and fun times we all had together

there is a public talk given by tight pants tony on youtube titled "the real armageddon, why, when"his talk, as usual, doesn't make much sense.
he says armageddon is not a nuclear holocaust or an asteroid hitting the earth it's god's war against all the political nations of the earth.
he talks about a celestial phenomenon that will be phenomenal.
It's just another con game coming out of the mouth of a GB member used as a marketing tool to get JW's to trust that WT leaders have all the answers- which they do not have of course. Anthony Morris has nowhere to hide but behind the billions of $$$ that WT Society is siphoning off from rank & file JW's. In time that money will disappear and the Houdini act WT Society has been pulling over on JW's will vanish as well
