Losing my Hold On JW speak. Has it Happened to You Yet and if so, How?

i was reading a post on here and the poster said she went to the door twice because her mother made her go again when she didn't see her children talk to the man.

the poster said, "at least i got an rv out of it.".

ok, its been a few years, but for the first time i thought of "recreational vehicle" and not "return visit" when i read this.

Good points Wasanelder- Yeah, I think you are making outstanding progress ! Or is " progress " a JW cult word ? LOL ? !

Anyway- yeah I've gone through this as well in my years out of the cult. Usually on purpose I'll try not to use the terms " brothers " or " sisters " unless I'm actually referring to my physical family siblings. Or instead of saying that what I believe in now after 14 years out of the JW's is the " truth " - I'll say that what I believe in now is reality. Or if someone says to me , " Hey Flipper, you're a really " worldly " man " - I take it as a compliment as being shrewd , worldly wise - and not a deviant like the JW's teach.

Or I try to eliminate out of my mind the term " Pioneer " when I'm reading about 1800's history of actual pioneers traveling across the Oregon trail to settle in the west.

I mean it takes years to get rid of this these shit JW expressions in our head so congratulate yourself that you are accomplishing that . Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Three gen sex-abuse cover up in my fam; and other fun

hi, first time posting.i got out about 10 years ago, but only beginning to reconcile with my trauma from being raised as a witness.

i am a professional writer, and never wanted my body of work to be prefaced -- 'oh the writer who broke free from being a jw,' but i've started the last year to now write about my experiences.

another reason i have held back is many of the victims in my family are still of the faith, and i've grappled with it is not entirely my story to tell or expose.context: the sexual abuse cover-up with my family goes back to the 50's over three generations of girls in a large extended family all raised as witnesses at the hands of an uncle, and protected by the elder body, ca, da, ontario branch of bethel, ny and so on.i grew up in a culture where the girls in my family would go 'off the deep end' at ages 16/17, and kept waiting to grow up for my turn to 'go crazy', which did happen at age 17 when i had my first manic phase and left the org for about two years.

CYNGZ- I'm terribly sorry to hear of the sexual abuse and rape that you and female members of your family suffered. It's horrific and disgusting how often this happens within the JW organization. My wife and I have EX-JW friends this has happened to and many here on this board are actively trying to expose these crimes to the public either on the Internet or other media outlets to bring attention to the criminal conduct happening within this criminal organization- WT Society & Jehovah's Witnesses. These crimes get even more horrific due to the lax or awful child abuse policies of the WT leaders trying to cover these crimes up.

I'm proud of you about opening up and exposing these crimes that occur within this organization. I read both of your websites and you are a terrific writer indeed. Very interesting links - both of them. I'm sure it has helped you to heal a little bit by writing and I encourage you to keep it up ! I'm a singer/songwriter myself and after exiting the JW's writing songs has helped me to overcome some of the stresses from being raised up in the JW cult as well.

in my kingdom hall people see me as rude but to me i dont understand how.for me having to talk to adults is not bad but for me its one thing if i dont know you and so i have my guard up at all times and i have a fuck off tone in my voice.but some of the brothers seem they like kids to much.. one more thing i have the a fuck off tone some times is because a lot of brothers i kinda know (hint kinda know) ask me about my school life.what i mean is not ''hey how's school?

AKID- I know how you feel. AS Scratchme said " some JW's are very inappropriate and intrusive " and as On The Way Out said " Many elders ( or any JW for that matter ) ( Italics mine ) think they can cross boundaries that are really innappropriate . "

I agree with both these statements as I used to experience this intrusion into my personal space when I was your age growing up as a JW. And I've still experienced this treatment from JW's even into my middle age years up till now still. And I'm in my 50's ! And I'm an EX-JW !

It sounds definitely like this " brother " was trying to put you on the spot about girls in front of others to test you. Or he was trying to get some dirt on you in front of others to embarrass you. Or use information you gave out against you later by blabbing to elders about your personal life- which is none of his business.

One thing adult JW's will try to do to teenagers or minors is control them by asking intrusive questions which are none of their business. You just have to stand up to these people in a firm, yet dignified polite way and say, " excuse me, but this is my personal business and not yours " - then walk away. In the JW's anything we say can or will be held against us by unscrupulous fellow JW's with bad motives trying to either get us in trouble with our parents or elders. As On The Way Out stated, " These people are not going to be your friends in the future, so screw them. " Which I agree with.

If you can develop friendships with non-JW's who accept you for who you are- not JW's who want to mold you into something or someone that you don't want to be . Hang in there buddy, we're here for you too. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

The Governing Body's Public Denial Of Being Easy On Childmolesters Will Hurt Them Big Time In Court

lett made a complete public denial of any wrong doing on the part of those directing watchtower policies i think his statement as well as splane's statements of denial to the portugal indoctrinated members certainly shows the evil information he is willing to spill out to keep these matters of serious concern away from their believing public there in portugal.. i feel these videos if they can be used in court cases of child molestation will swing the jury toward megabuck$$$ based on the denial expressed to make these denying ass holes wake up and shrivel up their real estate assets quicker.

Thanks for these videos Brokeback . The stubborn GB and other WT representatives are going to keep stonewalling the media and remain silent on the child abuse until the courts of the land FORCE them into submission by making them turn over incriminating documents concerning pedophiles within their JW organization. WT attorneys will keep fighting to preserve this alleged " sanctimonious " facade and pretend front that they put on or fake goodness that they try to swindle even their own JW people to believe in.

Truth of the matter is WT Society is a criminal organization masquerading as a " religion " - but in truth it's just a real estate company pretending to be a religion protecting their financial interests by paying off out of court child abuse settlements of JW children and their parents to keep this information out of the media - while bilking millions of JW's out of their hard earned money by the unethical takeover financially of kingdom halls shutting them down forcing JW's to travel miles to overcrowded kingdom halls in the name of what ? Thanks for sharing this info New Boy. Why does this not surprise me ? The WT leaders did nothing to prosecute alleged child abuse crimes of Ted Jaracz - so the 11 % figure of pedophiles on the Governing Body was probably higher than 11 % . This is important information to get out there so as to expose the criminal aiding and abetting of felony child abuse within the upper echelons of the WT Society. In time my hope is that WT leaders will be FORCED by laws of the land to hand over the huge database file containing names of ALL the thousands of JW's that were considered pedophiles. Because THAT is when it will be exposed that these GB members were NOT reported to law authorities and were allowed for years to not only exist in congregations- but actually child molesters were allowed to run the WT Society itself ! We can only hope the wheels of justice will start rolling a bit faster. People need to know who and what is really behind this criminal organization- Jehovah's Witnesses & WT Society
