ALEXANDRA- Good for you in wanting to assist people to move on from the cult Jehovah's Witnesses. Very true what you say- so many of us EX-JW's have issues in moving on from even a cult mentality or a controlled black and white , or an all or nothing thought process - to me it's impressive when anybody who has gone through these things writes a book to help others. Congratulations on your book release I'll have to check it out.

I've been out of the witnesses for over 14 years now, but life is a never ending learning process . It's always great to pick up new ideas. Good luck on the success of your book ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

I was quite tolerant of this guy until now

president trump is definitely a demagogue, a populist, and not a great extemporaneous speaker, just to mention few of his more conspicuous flaws.

however, i was going along because "it's the economy stupid".

now that has changed.

As most of you know here- I've NEVER been tolerant of this guy ( Trump ). I've seen through his act right from the start. That doesn't make me any better than anyone else- it's just a nauseating shit show to have to be an eyewitness to 24 / 7 - 365 days a year.

But mark my words Karma is coming around the mountain to bite this guy in the ass and when the general public finally sees that the Mueller investigation never was fake news - hopefully the scales will fall from their eyes and see this unethical president for who he is : a criminal in the White House

Just ordered my new paperback version of the book last night from Amazon. Should receive it Wednesday. Big thanks are in order to Deborah for making this extremely important book available online for the public and exiting Jehovah's Witnesses. And a big thanks to Mike & Kim for allowing themselves to be the conduit to let us know about it on this particular forum. Thanks again, I look forward to re-reading this book again as it's probably been at least 10 to 12 years since I last read it. for almost 12 years now, i have been coming to this site on a regular basis and in the last 5, i “faded out”.

i never regretted this and never will.

unfortunately though, yesterday, i realized that, until i can publically tell all my old acquaintances why i have left, i will never be truly free.

STEPHANE- Nice to have you back ! I know it was always funny when the poster Outlaw used to post on these types of goodbye threads from various people - he'd always put up some funny cartoon and say " you'll be back , see ya soon ! "

And it's true like others say- many of us ex-JW's DO receive a lot of mental and emotional support here- including myself. As Stillin said, it's not the worst place you could be. Take care friend, we are here for you, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

One might think that he had regained his sanity as there's no such thing as being " anointed " in the first place.

" What could possibly happen " ?

Who knows, perhaps he'd come to see TTATT and see it's all BS and leave the JW organization and escape and enjoy freedom of mind. One can only hope

I just checked Amazon and it's not on there. Where might some of us purchase this book ( seeings how I loaned out my original copy to someone and never got it back ) ? Thanks !

i guess at this point in life, given what we all now know, we no longer harbor any delusions of grandeur.

my temporary insanity, which i've written about on other threads, was that assurance of being in heaven with jehovah and jesus and the other 143,999 kings and priests.

Above the Fog, Below the Snow

i live in the sierra nevada foothills of california; a selling point for prospective homeowners in the slightly lower elevation is what is touted in the subject title.

well, right now we are being blasted by a storm barreling down from canada, with hazardous driving and blizzard conditions in the offing, higher up.. as to fog, this photo offers a rare display of misty conditions over our lake, that after the last major rain storm.

it reminds me of summer days of my youth on the pacific coast..

CoCo- As you know my wife and I also live in the Sierra mountains a little higher than you as we're at 3,200 ft. elevation. Wednesday night only quarter inch of snow as the temperature stayed 38 or 39. Thursday night 2 inches of snow. Tonight- Friday cold as hell and snowing like a mother . 31 degrees and we have at least 6 inches of new snow on the deck outside and all around. Fortunately I don't have to work until Sunday afternoon late , but we have 4 wheel drive vehicles to get out. Winter wonderland up here right now. Be safe friend ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
