Why won't they simply change policy on sex offenders? Will they?
by punkofnice inwhy won't they (the wbt$ head honchos), simply change policy on sex offenders?
will they?..especially after the arc for eg?
it seems that with all the bad press and now the arc among other institutions that are exposing the wbt$ for a haven for paedophiles, why hasn't the wbt$ simply changed it's insane policy?.

Too much pride and arrogance. They refuse to admit to mistakes. WT leaders never admit to mistakes - they cannot risk showing they are wrong in front of the rank and file JW's - otherwise it exposes them for what they really are- normal humans who bleed red if they are cut. Nothing special at all. The emperor would have no clothes and everybody leaves the religion. Of course that will never happen. People are stupid and want somebody to tell them what to do - even if the ones telling them what to do don't know their own ass from a hole in the ground -

Can You Really Become Inactive Instead of DA'ing and Keep Your Family
by truth-or-consequences inoz branch coordinator terrence o'brien opined a number of times at about 1:00:00 until about 1:15:00 of his testimony, that a dub does not need to da, they can become "inactive.".
i sent our beloved angus stewart my personal experience, as well as observations about official borg teachings.
(he replied in short order.).

I think it's a " mixed bag " type of situation. Many of us ( myself included ) ARE currently shunned completely by some JW family members who are fanatics and self righteous within the JW cult. However I have some JW family members who will speak with me about " family " business - they just don't get too personal or ever really ask or aren't interested in knowing too many details about my life or interests. They couldn't care less.
The only member of my JW family who respects my stand as an " inactive " or non-operational ex-JW is my JW older mom. She has told me personally that she does not hold any judgment towards me for stopping attending back in 2003. I can talk to her about anything. But for many of us there is no difference in how we are treated whether we're DFed OR inactive. WE still get shunned

To those of us now FREE....
by The Rebel inon another thread i commented " the most wonderful thing for me about having left the organisation is giving an education to my child, encouraging him to be dedicated and committed to the person he himself wants to be".
for me that is the best thing about being free from the organisations control.. what has been your best realisation having left the organisation?.

THE REBEL- Great thread, great question ! I agree- I'm happy that my oldest son 30 years of age is finishing getting his bachelor's degree this next spring. I'm so proud of him and for him. ( He's the only 1 out of 3 of my children to escape the JW cult so far ) .
As regards myself the thing I cherish the most is my freedom of mind- the right and the opportunity to think, feel, and pursue interests like music, hiking in the woods, and other pursuits without clogging up all my valuable time in a selfish mind control cult created by the WT Society that uses people up. I have no fear of " Armageddon " because it's an unreality- ain't gonna happen. Those are a couple things I'm grateful for off the top of my head

"And what happened next was simply unbelievable!"
by Terry ini always sit in the same spot, just outside starbucks in a vestibule area with a table in the air-conditioned space.
i say "always," but not today.. somebody with two laptops and a table filled with business ledgers was in "my" favorite spot!.
so, i took a tiny wooden table inside the coffee shop on a long padded bench next to 3 other identical tables.. as the clickbait banner ads like to say: "and what happened next was simply unbelievable!".

TERRY- Don't berate yourself. You did an excellent job. NOW those two young men will possibly go home and google the information you gave them. They won't admit it to other JW's or the elders- but I almost guarantee in private they'll look it up on the Internet. Great job ! Give yourself a pat on the back ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper -

We are not thinking folks. What is the best way to get JW's to check out the events in Australia.
by James Mixon intell our jw family members, door knockers, and stand sitters that you were very impressed.
by the branch overseer and other elders in australia, they gave a fine witness.. so what will happen, they will tell their friends the brothers in australia gave a fine.
witness.

So...you could say, "hey, I overheard just the end of something some elders were talking to each other about -kind of hush-hush but sounded like they are going to announce next week where we can log in to listen to Brother Jackson and other esteemed elders give witness to the Royal Commission in Australia. Sounded like they said the Royal Commission wants to find out how to implement the loving provisions of our organization!"
Oh, man, if only you could keep a straight face....
Yeah, that's the ticket!
