Think what you like. You can call it anything you wish...Jesus gibberish or whatever. But if you look at enlightened teachers (you probably don't understand that terminology either) from other cultures before Jesus, they experienced similar phenomena and an expanded consciousness. It's real. It's documented. It's just not common and only happens to certain ones on a certain level. Keep your mind closed shut and you won't have to think about it or you can label it something that makes you feel secure in your NOTHINGNESS belief. It goes beyond religion. These enlightened teachers did not intend to start a religion. It was the people that attempted to explain their teachings without full comprehension that started the religions. Don't shoot the messenger (the teacher) just because their followers got it wrong.

Jesus is the answer!
by startingover ini hope it worked.
my intent with the title of this thread was to attract both believers and non-believers.
whenever a thread appears promoting the wonders of jesus, it will inevitably develop into a back and forth discussion ad nauseam.. i was born into a family that believed there was a god, he had a son jesus and his word was the bible.

Jesus was a man that experienced the "Christ" presence. Religion has screwed up the person and experience by attempting to explain it, and the explanation became a doctrine that turned into something labeled Christian. It's been misunderstood by getting caught up in worshipping the mundane "man". This causes some to search no further because it sounds too preposterous to believe, so they stop their spiritual growth altogether because of this misrepresentation and so opt for nothing. NOTHING becomes their answer because you can't find SOMETHING if you cease to search.

The significance of this image...
by Awakened07 inthey say a picture is worth a thousand words.. .
to me, the picture posted below is one of the - if not the - most significant images i've seen so far in my life.
as i was growing up (a jw), i was taught that the universe was in perfect harmony.

Thanks for the beautiful image. I don't get the same thoughts from this as you do because our puny little science and our puny little brains can't possibly contemplate much less understand and interpret seemingly cataclysmic cosmic occurrences. But the picture is beautiful nonetheless.

I have a sneaking suspicion the new Kool-Aid editions will be passed out on Sundays at the K.H. and then turned back in before leaving....not to be taken home. In that case, it may be very difficult to get our hands on one, but it WILL be done.

My dear JWD friends:
Next year is going to be AWESOME! We are going to witness some of the most hilarious scriptural contortions a dying cult can make!
They are laying the ground work issues in advance, such as the words below:
anointed ones living on earth at any given time
BIG CHANGES are coming. They will try to keep us from finding out their "deeper things", but it won't work. Those of you still participating in the meetings are needed right now, imo, to keep the rest informed as to what sinister things the WT Society has in store for our loved ones still trapped in it. I, for one, am grateful that you suck it up and endure the crapola sessions week after week in order to expose them. Hopefully you will be blessed with the privilege of seeing this organization sink in its own unholy mire and muck.

The End of Jehovah`s Witness`s
by OUTLAW inwe see alot of topics on the board about the end of the wbt$..i don`t think that will happen in our lifetime........so..lets change our focus..kingdom halls are getting fewer and fewer jw`s in them..congregations are being dissolved and kingdom halls are sold off..many jw`s are very unhappy and we see alot of them on this board.....the wbt$ is a billion dollar organization, they will survive for along time to come..........how about the jehovah`s witness`s?.......with fewer and fewer members..information about the wbt$ on the internet..and..some very depressed jehovah`s witness`s looking for a way out of the cult they are in.....will the "jehovah`s witness`s" survive?...outlaw

From my association and observation, I think the JWs will drastically change directions in the next couple of years. The Kool-aid version of the WT will be the key to these changes.
I think right now, they are probably shaking in their boots and thinking, "Oh, well! It was good while it lasted. Let's see if we can pull a rabbit or two out of the hat before we pull the official plug. Let's drain the rank and file of everything we can over the next few years. Some of the old timers will no doubt fork over their estates to us in their wills if we direct them to do so with a barrage of scriptural directives. Then we can sell off some of the Kingdom Halls, especially the ones that can give us the maximum profit right now."
Then I think they will change their doctrines drastically after the Big Drain. They will lose some, maybe most, of their members, but, if they do it right and make their "religion" more mainstream, give it a New Twist, and maybe even a New Name----voila! They're back in business.

Some Thoughts... I'm new, this is THERAPUTIC for me... read if you'd like
by bbdodger inin a cult, the society of the cult tries everything in their power to keep one in that society, as well as keeping one ignorant of any information that would sever the guise of legitimacy.
given a version of the bible, not being able to read any other version of the bible is just one example of this kind of inflicted ignorance.
in a cult, it's impossible to get out without a fight.

Welcome to our forum. I look forward to your posts. You write with a lot of heart and your goodness and compassion come through. I was raised a witness but when my children were young, I decided not to raise them the way I was raised. I wanted them to feel normal and take advantage of all the opportunities that were "out there" to enjoy life and be a successful citizen of this beautiful planet.
That being said, it takes years and years to shake free of the mind-controlling residual effects and the guilt. Your mother is probably in this phase now and perhaps with your gentle coaxing and compassionate guidance, she can find relief and happiness free from the WTS's terrible grip.

All of you are filled with much hatred and anger
Sometimes anger is justified. I have no hatred toward anyone, but one of my pet peeves is INJUSTICE, and the WTB&TS is one of the most unjust organizations on the planet.
But, that being said, welcome to our group of good-hearted truth seekers who share open mindedly our thoughts and findings. You will learn much, my friend. (BTW, does 333 mean you are only half evil? )

Be careful. That's very out of the ordinary for a PO to do even if he's having his own doubts. Something smells fishy here.

First, WELCOME ABOARD. It's good to have you here.
My advice is to listen to your heart. Others will probably tell you to stay away from churches of any kind and to stop praying to God (he doesn't exist). I say, follow your inclination and be open to the possibilities without being gullible. Prayer is always a good thing, but the true science of effective prayer has been lost. One needs to search for the answers with diligence and faith that it will be found.
We are here to help. Welcome.
