A celebrity look-alike?

a few weeks ago we were out of town and i spotted this man sitting on a bench watching some outdoor performance as we were.

he looks familiar, like some heavy gangster boss in older movies.

Coffee time?

when you used to go out in service (or if you still do) what was the coffee time?

that's the time that you usually look at your watch and say "oh hey let's go for coffee then do a few more!

"...or worse...did you not take one in morning service?

If you had Pagan Parents, growing up, they might not have celebrated Christmas because of the Christianity involved. And then you could have had normal Christian Parents who recognized Christmas.

What "Unwritten Rules" Did Your Congregation Have?

i knew of a hall that allowed only white shirted speakers on the platform for sunday public talks!

when a visiting speaker did not wear the official white shirt he was either told that he couldn't give the talk or he could change shirts,as the hall kept a variety of sizes, just in case of an emergency!!!

i don't make this up.

Did the WTS send out an un-authorized memo to Christ or the apostles by chance to let them know, they weren't allowed to teach in the KH's, and it sounds like the guys are forced to play "Mormon" during talks. Sounds like fun.

Where were you when the planes hit?

it f*cks me off that this happened only a few years ago but no one in my office has yet to even mention it.

it was such a pivotal event:.

i was driving from fontana to chino in california dressed in service clothes.

This is truth:

Getting dressed for work with my wife, I felt weird and said to her "I think something bad is gonna happen today"...30 minutes later the 1st plane hit.

Make of it what you will, but it happened. It freaked us out. We were so taken by the moments unfolding on TV, that we totally forgot about that, then she remembered what I said about a half hour or so after it all started. I wish I could have captured the look on our faces at that moment.

one thing that bugs me about the witnesses that surround me is their interpretation of what's worldly or not.. i'm surrounded by money focused people, who have to have such expensive things, clothing, go to bars or clubs, drink enough to be buzzed real good, if not a bit drunk, party goers, gossipers, lyers, foul immoral thinking ones...should i go on?.

so where does a witness draw their own line in the sand?

this is where i see hypocracy flourish.

So where does a witness draw their own line in the sand? This is where I see hypocracy flourish. Hearing the "worldly" word thrown out in conversation.
