For $280 mil, IF I had asked Jehovah for the winning ticket and I won it, hell yeah I'd thank him.

Yes, my wife avoids being inquisitive in front of me because she "knows" I am online,
but doesn't quite know what exactly I am reading/looking at. I do most of my JWD on
the laptop wireless. I always keep another window up in case I need to shut down JWD.I live by Alt + Tab

2008
by jefferywhat ini have noticed, and posted a little bit about all the buzz surrounding this year.
there is a little bit of a whisper campaign going around that armageddon is coming this year.
from other posts i notice im not the only one who is seeing this, there is alot of "reminders" that we need to be obedient and trusting of the fds ( which i am of course), along with reminders to stock up and prepare for disasters etc they are really pointing to something.

Anyway, an elder told me today that its because its 33 years from 1975, 33 being the length of Jesus life, so 33 +1975 = 2008I hope they publish something about this in the Members Only edition. I hope they all fall for it like they always do. It may help some wake up when it fails like every other prediction.

Crisis of Consciousness: Finally Got It
by RAYZORBLADE inoops, well i had intended to post a message along with this new topic and my fingers were faster than my brain (need more coffee .
well, i suppose it's like preaching to the converted; me obtaining this book, but i guess it's one of those things i just needed to do to finalize everything.. i know there are countless topics on ray franz' book.
but to finally pick it up, i feel like: 'i can hardly wait to read it'.. before, i more or less figured: 'i am out of the wtbts, so why bother?'.

It's an excellent book. Be prepared though, it may stir up some memories which will make you angry. Depending upon how "faithful" a witness you were and how much you beleived all the crap you may feel a bit numb at finding out how great the deception was.

Do You Believe The Majority of JWs Believe Everything They Are Taught?
by minimus inyears ago, nearly every jw were true believers.
even if they were considered weak in the faith, they accepted all the beliefs and views from "mother".
do you think today's witnesses accept everything as being the truth?.

Many of them, especially elders and others in position of power, know there are problems and inconcistencies with some of the doctrines. They stay however, because they are convinced that it is God's organization and there is no where else to go.

What a shame. Such supernatural powers could be useful to the Saudi regime. "Do as we say Americans, or you will all go limp."

Big time watchtower art dept. jest
by cultswatter inlook at the following nonsense.
look at this link http://www.word-sunday.com/files/b/passion-b/a-passion2-b.html.
mark stated the crucifixion almost as an aside, since his audience already knew the fate of jesus, and since the methods of crucifixion were well known at the time.

Funny how at Christmas time they like to talk about how Jesus is no longer an infant but is now a powerful king blah blah blah, but at memorial season they love to feature the death scene. Just another attempt at GUILTING people into going to the memorial. If I were Jesus I'd be offended at the attempt at manipulation via guilt.

I just had the weirdest dream
by Irish Rose inthis evening i decided to take a nap, and man did i crash.
i got woke up when some one knocked on my door (some guy looking for votes).
anyways while i was sleeping i had a very weird dream (i don't dream much anymore, or at least remember them.

Damn, I'd be pissed at the guy who woke you up. Had you not woken up your dream would've revealed that oral sex is now encouraged amongst married couples. (New light.)
On a serious note, the sad truth is that should such an article be published in the Watchtower most J.W.s embrace this new light, never pondering why they had the restriction in the first place. And they say they don't follow men.
