As much as it seems kind of humorous to us who know better.....I wouldn't put it past many of the JW's to kill the people they love....especially as they feel more and more desperate. I would NEVER leave my baby alone with my mother (Which there is no chance of anyhow...she won't ever talk to me....GOOD)

My husbands observation...
by megsmomma inwe were just discussing the whole thing about how only those jw's that live through the big a will be able to still be sexual beings and pro-create.
he said that the society is useing our most natural desires to scare everyone into staying in the org and hoping, above all else to live through the big "a".
and i was saying to him that if i still believed what they taught, i would kill him and my baby to save them.

Do the JW's concider what they are taught AT ALL??? (I know I didn't when I was in it)
Edited to Add: He was like..."Yea, thanks alot babe....So I get to clean up all that crap.....Reeeaaallllly nice...."

What do you do with your time???
by nonamegiven inwell, now that you are out of the organization, what do you do with the time you gained?
let's see how much time we gained.. assuming you were a publisher you spend at least 2 hours in service 3 saturdays a month plus the service meeting and drive time to and from the kh, let's call that 10 hours a month.. 5 meetings a week plus "fellowshipping" before, after and drive time, let's call that another 40 hours a month.. then there was meeting prep.
another 8 hours a month.

I like watching my favorite shows on "meeting nights".....Sleeping in on Saturdays..(Well, not with a baby now, but, before I did!)
Going for evening walks....Spending time in the kitchen......Reading theBible (took me a while to feel like I wanted to though)....Painting....making out with hubby.....

So, I just told my dad to "Shut the **** up"
by mavie inthen i hung up on him.
it was so frustrating to his self righteous attitude under the banner of love.
yes, i went over the top, but i couldn't take it anymore.

Man...I can relate. We had to tell my mom to leave our home when she came to visit after I had Megan. She was relentless in telling me of my death...and that of my family. I wish I had hit her .

Bobbleheads
by StillGroggy inanyone ever been in a meeting and notice the constant head-nodding in zombified agreement that witnesses do.
it drives me crazy!
especially since it seems to increase and be accompanied by little "hmmms" whenever someone says something that is complete bullshit.

When my head was bobbing it was cause I was trying hard not to fall asleep!!....I do remember seeing that though....I wonder if that is some kind of mind-controling technique?

What could they be wanting now?
by Schism inok, so you know about my parents' and my email exchange.
mom said come to meetings, i was genuine with her and told her why i don't, mom replies with denial of what she just read (like i am a confused baby), then i replied with an email that absolutely takes care of everything.
from evolution vs creation, to the bible, to jehovah, and the wts.

OK.....I went through something a bit similar with my husband and dad. They met to talk without me and basically religion was not a topic my husband would get into. The conversation was about RESPECT. Whatever YOU choose to do with your life and your beliefs need to be respected. If your dad says "we do respect her"...you husband can ask...."And how have you shown this?" (My husband has been a manager in his company and has really learned how to handle this type of person....." If you want to talk more, PM me.

I am late in answering....sorry. It took me 7 years after my divorce....and leaving the religion to find my husband. But, I think the key is more about how many wrong ones I dated to get to the right one. I had 3 fairly serious relationships that taught me more of what I didn't want, than what I did. At first I thought I could put up with just about anything. Boy was I wrong!
I read that it takes about an average of 5 serious relationships for most wemon to experience before getting the right one. That seems pretty true from what I have seen. It is so different than what we grew up thinking....you marry the first guuy you date.

There is some really great stuff called Emergen-C. You can get it in the "colds" section at Wal-mart, health food stores, or Pharmacy's. You add it to water and it just gives a good dose of vitamins. It seems to help a-lot. Me and hubby have not been sick in 2 years!

We are here for Adoption!
by new boy ini was taking to grace (mouthy) on the phone today in canada.....what a sweetheart she truly is.. we have decided to put ourselfs out for adoption.
since i have lost family members because of being a jehovah's witness for 52 years and since many here have lost wifes, husbands, children, sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers, and of course friends.. we have decided to put ourselfs out for adoption...............grace told me today she would be happy to be your grandmother to all that would like to have a grandmother..........i would love to be a father to anyone who would like to have a father.........that no longer has one.. we have this to offer to all...........the most important thing a parent, grand parent or friend can offer their child, grandchild or friend........and that is, unconditional love to all.......you are all perfect.the love that real family members may have is conditional.......but true love never is.
we are here for you all.............and anyone else here on this board that would like to be a grandparent parent, father, mother, sister, brother or friend ............. please let all here know now.. as the italians say "familia"...........we are family!........we are here for adoption.

Please sign me up for a mom, and grandma to my girls. I would love to have x-tra grandparents for the baby too, so thanks DAD!! I posted a video of Megan on the thread about people giving up their kids and grandkids. I will take the first person to PM me....and WALLA.....I have a mommy again!!
You know, the thing that IS NOT funny about this is I have embarrased myself a couple times with crying and asking friends moms to adopt me. The hole in my heart is HUGE....and it is time to have it filled.
Please, NO NARCICISTS(SP??....But you know what I mean) NEED APPLY
