I LOVE Sunday mornings!
by nicolaou inin the week i have to get up at 5:15 and go to work while the rest of my family are gently snoring in their warm and toasty beds - not fair.
on saturdays the mornings are usually a bit noisy with teenage kids and their friends coming and going, mobiles ringing and the sound of spongebob coming from my little girls room.. but sundays.
ah sundays!.

Still Feeling Lost...What to Do Next?
by daringhart13 ini'm wondering how many of you still feeling a burning need to know god and have a relationship with him.. i am dealing with the horrible emotions of having faded, done some things that would be considered immoral, stopped praying (not sure i ever prayed right) and generally just feeling lost...... what have some of you done to get back on track?
i've been fading for a year and a half.
missing my first dc..... ugh.....having a crappy morning i guess...... just feel like i want to talk to god, but can't.. ironic, huh?

This is completely normal as you have thrown out the faulty rule book and are finding your own way.
You can still talk to god. Whether you say "Jehovah" or not is immaterial, say whatever you are comfortable with. Talk inside your head... have a meditative "discussion". Or, try writing a letter, if you like. It might help you sort out some of your feelings.
Love and strength to you,

by Jesika inwell, i have been a memeber for a while.
thought the site was gone.. nice to see its still up and running.. learned alot here.. to summerize..........born into the jdub......got df'd at 15.... (am 34 now)on purpose (was molested by my uncle, so wanted out, saw the bs of covering that kind of thing up at an early age),.
dad was an elder, grandad was a po, etc.. left home after being df'd..........ran away....never to return....had a hard time learning how the " world" really was.. anyways......just glad to see this board is still around........just wanted to extend myself to anyone who needs to talk about abuse or the difficulty of "getting out".

My wife's out and we're very happy
by 10p ini feel a bit guilty.
people on this forum were very friendly and helpful to me when i was in the in-between phase between brainwashing and freedom.. i also got a lot of help and advice and sympathy when i was trying to get my wife out.. but when she did leave, i forgot all about you guys, and we got on with our lives, and have never been happier.
honestly, life is soooo damn good now, i worry i might have reached the peak and things will only get worse from here.. we are amazed at how much our children enjoy birthdays and christmas - how healthy, normal and fun these things are.

I'm so happy to hear from you, 10p! And I am absolutely delighted to hear how happy you and your Sweetie and kids are.
Many happy years of exploring to you all! Thank you so much for stopping in with the wonderful news.

I'm glad the link might have been of some use. Lables are of no use, but knowing what tendencies or limitations keep a loved one from connecting and interacting with us in an empathetic way can certainly be useful as a bit of an explanation.
Enjoy these gorgeous years with your new little Precious One!

America Never Even Joined The League Of Nations!
by BluesBrother inmy knowledge of modern history might be a little thin, gained largely from the books of the wts and the "outworking of prophecy", so humour me if this is common knowledge to everyone else.. the wts has identified the characters in revelation 13 as being 1) the two horned beast = anglo american power, and 2) an image of the beast = the league of nations and later on the u.n.o.
but really it was only an image to the wild beast.. wt 1986 2/1 p6.
they did this by getting the nations to make an image to the wild beast.

Oh, Honey. I'm so very sorry. It sounds like she really likes to put on a big righteous act for her new husband. I know she is your mother, but she is unloving and out of line. Notice how she only wanted you around when she needed a babysitter?
I'm sorry you are having to deal with this, but truly it sounds like you will be better off without her.
By the way... do any of these traits sound familiar? It sounds like you may be dealing with an NPD.http://www.halcyon.com/jmashmun/npd/traits.html
Congratulations on the new baby!
Love and strength to you!
Baba.
