I LOVE Sunday mornings!

In the week I have to get up at 5:15 and go to work while the rest of my family are gently snoring in their warm and toasty beds - not fair. On Saturdays the mornings are usually a bit noisy with teenage kids and their friends coming and going, mobiles ringing and the sound of Spongebob coming from my little girls room.

    But Sundays. Ah Sundays!

From habit I'll wake up around 5:30 - 6.00 so I just turn over, cuddle the Mrs, and go back to sleep for another couple of hours. Bliss! Then I take the dog for a walk, pick up the paper from our corner shop and read it in the peace and quiet of our conservatory with a steaming hot black coffee, all before anyone else stirs. Occasionally I might even say hello to you guys. "Hi!"

Best of all? No bloody meeting!!

    Good morning everyone!

I love Sunday now that I have left the org. but Sunday used to be the SADDEST day of the week for me. I have oftened cried the entire day. Now i love it and enJoy it very much. Here is a song that expresses the way Sunday can, feel written by Johnny Cash and my fav version sung by Kris Krisoferson(sp)

    SUNDAY MORNING COMIMG DOWN

Well, I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt.
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad,
So I had one more for dessert.
Then I fumbled in my closet through my clothes
And found my cleanest dirty shirt.
Then I washed my face and combed my hair
And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day.

I'd smoked my mind the night before
With cigarettes and songs I'd been picking.
But I lit my first and watched a small kid
Playing with a can that he was kicking.
Then I walked across the street
And caught the Sunday smell of someone frying chicken.
And Lord, it took me back to something that I'd lost
    Somewhere, somehow along the way.

    On a Sunday morning sidewalk,
I'm wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothing short a' dying
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of the sleeping city sidewalk And Sunday morning coming down.

In the park I saw a daddy
With a laughing little girl that he was swinging.
And I stopped beside a Sunday school
And listened to the songs they were singing.
Then I headed down the street,
And somewhere far away a lonely bell was ringing,
And it echoed through the canyon
Like the disappearing dreams of yesterday.

    On a Sunday morning sidewalk,
I'm wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothing short a' dying
That's half as lonesome as the sound
    Of the sleeping city sidewalk
    And Sunday morning coming down.

    Good Morning Nic'

In the week I have to get up at 5:15 and go to work while the rest of my family are gently snoring in their warm and toasty beds - not fair.

it most of the time was the reverse for me I was the last to leave the house, my babyboy had to be ready earlier ... but I was also the last to come back home and my babyboy was most of the time already asleep !!!

The sundays are just ok to me ... when I'm working oustide, I like the friday (=release - but before that didn't mean I didn't have to work - just release from having to stand other people all day !!!) and the mondays (because it's a kind of begining)

    Good mornin' to ye.

I just got off work @ about 4 am. @ 6 am, I'm headin' out to do some steelhead fishing. That is my version of going to church-heading out on a misty, brisk, Pacific Northwest morning to haul in fish as long as my leg! It sure beats trying to stay awake sitting in a kingdom hall.

Sundays are my favorite days. We usually do nothing. Every Friday and Saturday we try to have "dates" or do fun stuff, but Sunday is the lazy day where I get to wear my pajamas past noon if I want to. Drink hot tea, read a bit, take a noon nap with my sweetie and just generally decompress before Monday starts again.
