What's the most ridiculous thing you were ever counselled on?
by micheal inone of the cornerstones of jw's is counsel.
they just love to give counsel and many times they will literally make things up just for the sake of counsel.
i was once counselled for joking around too much.

Eric Beveridge from NY Bethel came to our congo to give a special talk with slides,during a short break he quietly asked me if I could get him a glass of water, which I did.
At the end of the meeting a couple of elders took me on one side to tell me that I shouldn't have got the water as I wasn't a servant in the congo.

The UBC lab had a vaccine within six months of the first outbreak. The problem was SARS had run its course by then and virtually vanished. However, Finlay says the scientific world learned a lot from SARS.

by gypsytart ini've been 'lurking' on this discussion board for ages, but not posted until now - finally thought i'd go for it and post something myself!
i've chosen gypsy tart as my alias not because i'm a gypsy (i'm not), or a tart (not all the time lol) but because i love gypsy tart it's my v favourite pud ever!
i did think of calling myself 'hovisbiscuit' because that's what the other kids at school would call me (along with 'oh look it's a hova') whilst they all filed into assembly.

You have certainly come to the right place, I have placed below an explanation for people who come from other places, it is not a well known cake.
A gypsy tart is a type of cake made with evaporated milk , muscovado sugar (though some prefer light brown sugar ), and pie crust . It originates from northwest Kent in England , and is little known outside that area. As would be expected, the tart is extremely sweet and is for many people associated with school dinners .

Latest JW tract

it was titled "the end of false religion is near" what a catchy title, never heard that one before.
i started breezing through it and came across a subtitle called "false religion... tolerates immoral sex" they actually have the nerve to say, and this is an exact quote " even churches that condemn immoralality have tolerated religious leaders who have sexually abused children"
