  Riiiiight, and so you're worldview isn't distorting your thinking in this case?

  Personally I started out believing in the flood and then changed my mind because the evidence didn't support my worldview. So obviously I'm not afraid to change my opinion.

  But what about you? I'm pretty sure you've believed in the flood for years, despite all the astronomical evidence against it. How many other views have YOU presented and researched and then made them fit your worldview?... Molech only knows.

  How dare you accuse us of being biased, when we are the only ones who are willing to change our minds?

  Arguments JW's can't argue with.....I think???

  these are just a couple of arguments i think would cause any half sane jw (if any current and actively brainwashed "true believer" could ever be described as sane), to stop and think for themselves.. thinking person: is the bible and the events it describes true and factual?.

  jw: yes.....to the letter.. thinking person: could evolution be true?.

  jw: no way.. thinking person: ok, so i just want to get this perfectly clear; evolution in no way happened, is happening, or possibly ever will happen?

  Man I wish it were that easy... Unfortunately they do believe in micro evolution, but not macro evolution. (Yeah, you and I both know it's the same stinkin thing, but they don't.)

  According to the Bible, all humans descend from Noah, through his three sons Shem, Japheth and Ham. Genesis chapter 10 lists 70 descendants of Noah saying: "From these the nations were spread about in the earth." (Genesis 10:32) One of the many ways in which these nations have been classified is with reference to skin color. In the skin of allnormalhumans is a blackish brown pigment called melanin.

  Noah and his three sons all had a measure of this dark pigment. From Shem came the Babylonians, the Assyrians, the Jews and the Arabs who vary from fair to light-brown skin. The descendants of Japheth, who include the Indo-European races, vary from light skin to dark brown. As for Ham (meaning swarthy or sun-burnt), some, but not all, of his descendants had dark skin. The Egyptians, with light-brown skin, descended from Ham’s son Mizraim. Ham’s son Canaan, who was cursed by God because of bad conduct, was the forefather of the light-skinned Canaanites.

  In agreement with this, Dr. Hughes, a professor of anthropology at the University of Toronto, said: "On every continent, and in every geographically defined race, there is a considerable range of variation in . . . skin pigmentation, . . . the Tamils of South India are considered by many anthropologists to be members of the Caucasoid [white Indo-European] major race, yet in skin pigmentation they are darker than many African Negroes."

  All of this shows how foolish it is to interpret God’s curse on Canaan as referring to a dark-skinned people. All divisions of mankind have a dark pigment in their skin, some to a lesser, others to a greater extent.

  The Trinity ( arguement to end all arguments I hope )

  i pretty much don't think much of christendom.

  but why do christians insist on holding such an unholdable position with the trinity.. the bible i agree holds proof for both trinity and nontrinity positions.. i still don't get why that christians other than catholics would hold such an untenable position as god came down to earth but didn't, and he prayed ( talked ) to himself a lot.. .

  i remember a comedy sketch were some kids were stumping a nun in catholic school with question on the trinity and the eurachrist..

  You cannot paste images from your hard drive on to the Internet. You must first upload them to an online site

  I'll just take the time to elaborate on that a bit: You are trying to post an image on the internet directly from your computer... but when you put an image in the box, you are not ACCTUALLY putting the picture there, you are just putting a piece of code there that explains where the image is located... but since it's on your computer, our computers know where it is but they just can't get too it.

  You need to upload the picture on the internet first, on a website like this: http://www.tinypic.com/

  Then they'll tell you the new link to where it's located online... and then you post that in the message. (Kind of a pain huh? Hope you have high speed internet!)

  By the way, since it's pointing to your computer the picture should show up fine for you, but not for everyone else.

  LOL, duh, because people already KNOW that murderers and terrorists are bad, so trying to convince people that they are evil would be a waste of time.

  you have chosen Gods people for a reason.

  duh again... you chose them because you used to be one, and are therefore better educated about them then the average guy. Does he expect an ex-muslim to start educating people about the horrors of being a buddist?

  Sure I would, if I had any reason to beleive it would work and that I wasn't just wasting time and money.

  But I don't believe in the paranormal or supernatural. Even if I did I don't understand why the heck these otherworldly beings have nothing better to do for eternity than make you lucky, or help you perform cheep parlor tricks.

  No, only someone who took the ancient, distilled-from-much-older-oral-traditions, many-times-copied, many-times-translated writings of a thousands-of-years gone tribe of nomadic desert shepherds as the literal, inerrant, perfect Word of an angry, jealous, petty, insecure, rage-filled, vengeant God, in opposition of every shred of unified evidence produced in the last three hundred years in the fields of astronomy, geology, biology, phsyics, hydrology, radiology, paleontology, and meteorology, the work of many, many thousands of learned men and women who arrived at the same conclusions completely independently, using completely unrelated discoveries from a broad, diverse set of scientific disciplines in both the hard and soft sciences, all of which completely and harmoniously agree with each other, would do that.

  Holy crap... that's the longest sentence I've ever seen!

  But so true. Pretty much every field of science. (Including mathematics believe it or not.) disproves the flood, and proves that the earth is billions of years old.

  IF we ignored all that other evidence completely. And the only thing we had to determine the age of the earth was this fossilized dino flesh, it still would be inconclusive at best.

  when you eat crackers, do you lay them out salt side up, or salt side down?

  do you put them in your mouth salt side up, or salt side down?.

  Do you put them in your mouth salt side up, or salt side down?

  I put them salt side up on my plate. That way the salt stays on the cracker untill I'm ready to eat it.

  Whether or not I put it in my mouth salt up/down depends on how I'm eating them.

  If there is lunchmeat and cheese on it, then it's salt-side (also meat-side) up, so I can hold the cracker without touching the greasy meat, and also not spill the meat.

  But if I'm eating it without stuff on it, then it's salt side down.

  Now then: When putting your contacts in, if you wear them, do you put your right eye in first or the left? (Also are you right/left handed.)

  hey, i want to watch the matrix with my jw family... but it's rated r, so obviously that ain't gonna happen.. i heard somewhere that there is a 'made for tv' version that is equivilant to pg13, i think my family would be okay with that.. does anyone know about this?

  or is just a myth invented by dubs who don't want people to know that they watched an r movie?.
