Husband forgot our anniversary....again
by nsrn ini'm wide awake at 2 a.m., with my mind ruminating on stuff i should leave alone.
i wish i could turn it off in the night, when worries spin out of control.
let me list my concerns: this was my 26th wedding anniversary, and my husband forgot it apparently.

Oh, good gravy. And people wonder why I'm opposed to marriage.
Anyone who has ever watched ANY TV at all should know by now that this is an extremely common problem.
Women are overly sensitive about anniversaries, and men are not sensitive enough about them.
Women, try to understand that men DON'T care about commemorative dates. He's living with you, so it's safe to assume that he didn't forget your marriage, he just forgot about the list of numbers that are associated with that day (IE: 5/08/1981 6:30 PM). He's not trying to hint around that your marriage is in danger by not mentioning your anniversary, in fact most men don't hint at all. They talk or they don't. This isn't a sign that he's depressed, this isn't a sign that he doesn't care. It's not a sign of anything. He forgot, so why didn't you remind him? "Hey honey, remember, next week is our anniversary."
Men, try to understand that women NEED commemorative dates. It gives them a sense of stability, she's living with you so she needs to know that you think about her often, and her wedding is probably the most important date in her life. Even if you don't care try to care about it anyways simply because she want's you too, that's reason enough. If you don't she will most likely think that your trying to tell her something telepathically by not remembering it, she'll think you don't care, she'll think it's a sign that your marriage is in danger. Why not make what's important to her important to you? (Make plans a week ahead of time for a something special.)
Why do I get the odd feeling that most of the women skipped to the part about men, and most of the men only read the part addressed to women?

MRS EVIL GETS 14 YEARS
by Kent inhere is another story about the "loving" jws and child custody.. a wicked foster mum who brutalised, tortured and starved three children over almost two decades was jailed for 14 years yesterday.

A WICKED foster mum who brutalised, tortured and starved three children over almost two decades was jailed for 14 years yesterday.
Only 14 years?
Think about it: 14 years in jail... she'll have people guarding her, feeding her, clothing her, making sure she's warm, talking to her. Depending on what jail she goes to she might even have it even easier.
Personally I think she should get a choice:
A: She can choose to be brutalised, tortured and starved for two decades.
B: She can choose to be executed.
If she chooses A, then she obviously doesn't comprehend the severity of what she did, so she should be commited for psychological help.
If she chooses B, then she obviously understands just how horrible that really was, so she should be executed.
That's just my opinion though... and my opinions on justice are kind of strange.

Why would God...
by Crooked Lumpy Vessel input us on this planet...giving us life with all its beauty.
flowers, children, relationships, clouds, trees, kittens...then.
tell us we are imperfect human beings and that there are invisible evil forces and demonic influences that are much greater and stronger than we are trying to sway us in the wrong direction.

but that is not the point a 1000 years is 50 generations of humans to prove what ? That we can't do what rule our selves ? Why didn't he do what a ruler is supposed to do and protect his subjects from harm.
I'm not too impressed with his leadership either.
A third of his angels would rather die than continue serving him.
100% of the population in Eden would rather die than continue serving him.
He can't even support a nomadic tribe for a few decades, he treated them worse than the egyptians... he eventually had to assign a human king to make things work.
Why should we believe that paradise or heaven would be any better? He hasn't succeeded yet.

We need to contribute so JWD doesn't shut down so often
by restrangled ini suggest we all contribute $5.00 to $10.00 per year so that the site does not shut down on a regular basis.. this would allow simon to hire a server site that is reliable.
i have never seen a site go down so often.. if simon is in agreement and you are too, would you post here ?.
my husband hosts many sites including huge hotels for the government.

Or you could just click on the google ads more often...
Google pays for every one thousand times a person loads a google add.
And they pay for each individual time a person clicks on an add.
Granted, it's a miniscule amount, but it adds up. If everyone would just decide, "Every time I visit JWD, I'll click on ad add at least once." That would probably be very helpfull.
After I post this, I'm gonna click on an add.

Ahh, the beauty of gods creation:
Seriously though, you can't ignore all the bad things. If god created everything, then he also created the ebola virus, earthquakes, rabies, that dog, my dad's mother, football fish, volcanoes, gnats, ticks, poisonous spiders, deadly snakes, the forbidden fruit, and every other piosonous animal, disease, and natural disaster (or at least the system that spawns natural disasters) etc.
When you take god out of the equation: tsunamis, viruses and ugly/dangerous animals all make sense.

Home Schooling - Yes or No?
by winnie inwhat are your opinions?.
it seems that alot of jw's are into this.. i think there is a time and place for this, ie if you don't have access to a public/private school.. it doesn't seem regulated to me.
my mother home schooled my sister because she couldn't be bothered taking and picking her up from school.

Just FYI I was homeschooled all 12 years. end I terned out perty smaart.

The blank folder in the top left included my real name, so I blocked it.. That's a binary clock in the bottom right. The blue down arrow in the bottom left is a download manager. I changed my start bar to say "Proceed"
