i've been away from jwd for a month or so.

i've just been busy in life and am trying to rebuild, or should i say, make new friendships but it is slow-going.

missinglink and i haven't been to any meetings since april and have no plans in going back.

why is today the only day of the year when i feel guilty about having left the jws?

it's memorial day and i didn't go.

my last memorial was in 2006. last year was my first non-attendance.

This is my first year I've missed the M-day.

Try to keep focus on what the WTS has done to thousands of peoples lives.

I feel the same as Layinglow.

I don't want to support this Org one moment longer.

considering any religious presumption to be that we have fallen from perfection, is it realistic to expect an imperfect memeber of our speceis to fare any better than a perfect one who failed initially?.

considering the often added feature of multiple deceptions and the rampant claim of an evil superpower who tricks what we see as truth in an angel of light format, can it seriously be expected that we have the mental wherewithall to accurately decipher truth from lies and also cope with all our biological urges often branded evil?.

or is the truth that our biology is perfectly natural and our preoccupation with 'holy' in fact even dirties natural and beautiful gifts?

I agree, this is why we probably search for answers to cope with life’s reality. Then we stumble across brother so-n-so who
tells you that he has all the answers right in this little publication and the transparent prison starts to take shape.

This is why IMO some people are so angry at the WTS when they realize they have been fooled by the maze of mirrors.

movies and tv programs, like charmed, or books and movies like harry potter that must be avoided at all costs.

because they are a direct link to demonism and spiritism.

Can someone explain Paradise earth for me.

my mother has brought up this issue a few times lately and i'm a bit confused.

actually she says she's confused about it and doesn't know what to believe; that what she reads in the bible contradicts what the elders say.. she said that if you die before armegeddon you become an angel, so i assume that they will never marry or have children?

if you and your current spouse both survive armegeddon you continue to be married and have children?.

apostates at assemblys

i was told not to even look at them when i studied, but i did not buy the satan stuff about them and said well what have the watchtower got to worry about if they have the truth and no skeletons in the closet ?

i was quite tempted to speak to them and felt rude and judgemental , what did you used to think about them when you were dubs in the trufff ?

I always thought that they were there because they got df’ed
and were protesting about it.

Now I have respect for them. It takes guts to do something like
that. I can see why one might want to do it.
They probably felt sorry for us being enslaved to an organization and
robed of Christ our only salvation.
Or maybe they had family that they lost to this org and it’s blood policy.
and wanted to help others not to go through the same thing they did.

I wonder has anyone here ever stood out in front of an assembly with a sign
with a message to the JW’s?

as i was browsing the study guide i came across page 31 of the scriptural questions answers.

10:18= what was jesus referring to when he told the 70 disciples: "i began to behodl satan already fallen like lightning from heaven"?

the response was jesus was not stating that satan had already been ousted from heaven.
