  1914 + 120 = 2034?

  has anyone heard (or seen) any comments from witnesses about the december 15, 2003 watchtower that seems to be to be pointing to 2034 as possible date for the end of this system of things?

  Only problem with this reasoning is that the 607 BCE date is wrong.....so 1914 is incorrect....argh!! I just want to scream out loud in a Kingdom Hall..HELLO!! PICK UP AN ENCYCLOPEDIA WOULD YOU?!

  i don't think despite all my ups and downs, my worries, my insecurites, my trying to live life apart from that i really in my heart of hearts know to be right, that i could ever really lose my love for jehovah.

  i just can't forget that what i once learnt.

  I think that Jesus himself has said exactly what you need to hear.

  John 6:37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.

  You don't feel that you measure up to the JW standards - we all have felt that way. But you don't have to measure up - just come to Jesus and let him do the work for you. He promises that whomever comes to him he will not drive away - so you see, you don't have to "measure up" - you just have to go to him. Pray to God and ask him to send Jesus into your life. I did - and it has changed my life incredibly. PM me if you want to talk about this more - I don't want to hijack your thread here.

  81 Year Old Sister Decides To Telephone Witness On A Whim

  because the elders would not give her her own territory, an 81 year old sister has decided to use the phonebook and call anyone she wants to, because an elder's wife suggested it.

  she is a very confused, illiterate woman.

  she told my mother, today, that it wasn't that difficult to randomly pick a page and start talking about the kingdom.

  I'm a little puzzled....why couldn't she have her own territory card? And.....if they won't give her one then what's stopping her from just picking out a block and working it anyways? Except of course that she's 81 years old. Just think of the power they had over us.

  i knew of a couple that left their mates so that they could be with one another.

  the elders promptly disfellowshipped them.

  the couple made it known immediately, that they were going to apply for reinstatement as soon as possible.

  i'm starting the support group i talked about for so long.

  too many people i have run into lately have told me how much it would help them.

  so i'm going to bite the bullet and try to get it organized asap.. know what?..........it feels really good now that i decided to do it!

  Brotherly Love

  you all out there in cyberspace would be lucky to have a brother as good as mine.

  i dont know about the rest of u, but i never got love any thing like that in my 16 years as a jw.

  so all of you siblings out there let me know about your brothers, phyisical and other wise.

  I had 3 brothers, one passed away last year so I have 2 left. They don't talk to me. I tried to mend things with them but they view me as unworthy because I do not want to return to that religion. Recently I realized that blood relation does not necessarily mean "family" - and so I have "pruned" them out of my life. They are no longer my family.

  I have a new family - a terrific husband, two beautiful children, and a ton of great friends that are my "family" now. I don't miss my brothers.......I like the family I have now.....God has blessed me very much

  Ok -now I feel bad. For years I have b*** about people having their lights up year round.....I took my lights down by the 2nd weekend in Jan and NO LATER. Guess what.......we got hit with a big snow storm this year, then I got sick,...and well........I still have my x-mas lights up I'm so ashamed.

  I'm going out first thing tomorrow morning and taking them down. Guess that teaches me to b**** all these years hu?!
