I remember the Emschoff's. We had them briefly in our circuit in Indiana when I was a kid. They were well liked, and people were sorry to see them moved so soon. Seems like the wife went by "Emmy" but I can't remember...

What was the wildest thing you saw an elder do or say?
by jambon1 inafter replying to a recent thread, it made me think:
i`ll bet that there are some wacky elder experiences out there.
what was the wackiest thing you saw an elder do or say?

The elder was kind of old and maybe his mind was thinking other thoughts than the Watchtower study. Anyway, instead of calling on the sister in the rear, he directed the mic to "the sister with the rear!"

WILL THE ELDERS D'F ME FOR MOVING OUT? Today is the DAY!
by stillAwitness ini am in the process of packing all of my stuff into my little 4 door mitsubishi (which i have to bring back of course since my mom won't let me keep the car) with just $255 to my name.
here's my previous story: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/9/116282/1.ashx.
its both an exciting and scary time for me but i did have one important question to ask:.

Virgochik
Lol, lol @ minimus! Gosh, Stilla, be careful! If you have to bring back the car, won't Mom have to give you a ride home? Then she'll see where you live, huh?

I remember those stupid ass-embly skits as if it was yesterday! In other words, in twenty years, nothing has changed. They used to make me squirm with embarassment because they were so silly. And my mother sucked up every word!

Michael jackson is STILL a jw.. just on tv.
by candidlynuts inso i'm sitting here online halfway listening to nancy graces show on headline news.. someone calls in and asks if michael jackson was muslim now.
the jackson attorney says no, he was raised a jehovahs witness, he is a jehovah's witness and will probably be one all his life.
(wonder if he's been quietly reinstated?).

Maybe he's just saying that to keep his Mother happy. I can understand that...

Mmm, jumbo shrimps brushed with teriyaki sauce, and or baked potatoes split in the middle with a slice of bacon inside while cooking. Delicious!

Amazing, Drew! And I'd venture a guess, that for a Witless mother, it would take up much more time than that, feeding, bathing and dressing children for meetings. Especially if the father is a servant, too busy doing spiritual things to be of much help.
