Most of my Family Sincerely believe that they are in true religion, that they are doing God's will.

Awake = College Education, % of brain usage, where are these?

i've heard that this is somewhere in the magazines, but i have no clue where.

also, does anybody know where (or even if) the watchtower ever fed off the idea that we only use a fraction of our brains, an idea that has proven to be false?

i heard so many people talk about this in discussion, but have been unable to locate it in a publication.

Why do JW's elders act like their failed predictions is no big deal?

i must admit after being an ex-jws for over 15 years now i still get fustrated at jw's elders when they act so non-chalant about the watchtower's prediction failures.

i was talking to a jw elder just the other day and he was trying to explain away that the society made errors in dates in the past but they are not "false prophets".

i was not even calling them false prophets he was the one that brought up the term.

Surely, that is your fault if you expected the wrong expectations come to pass..... LOL

does wt loose ground in usa, so thy try to "convert" other parts where people are not informed about jw and wt and probably coz of not knowing english, does not have access to ex-jw information?

Welcome to the Forum, and thaks for comment. You have a good point, I don't trust much in the posted numbers, I know there are is a lot of cooking going on, and they constantly change the rules without much explanation to the members.

Parents are reporting as a bible study with their own children, so you are are right, they are INCLUDED in the 4% of total.

They're Making The Elderly Feel Guilty If They Don't Phone Witness

all the assemblies are pushing older ones to pick up the phone and preach.

my mom told me that she heard on the tape (she can't make conventions due to illness) that an 82 year old sister was on the platform because she was a phone preacher.

poor things probably can't hear, are screaming and who's going to slam the phone on a old man or woman??

They are running out of options.

The next step will be advice in WT mag and talk : " HOW TO SUCCESFULLY PROVIDE WITNESSING TO THE APOSTATES ON THE INTERNET ? But avoid to LISTEN to them. Just talk ALL THE TIME, they are dangerous " LOL

Dick Cheney involved in a shooting

i saw this in the news paper today.

busted a gut laughing.. reuters.. washington (reuters) - the white house was bombarded with questions on monday about why it failed to go public with news that vice president dick cheney shot a fellow quail hunter until the day after the accident.. the victim, harry whittington, 78, took pellets in his cheek, neck and chest when cheney fired his shotgun while aiming for a bird during a hunt in southern texas on saturday, and was in stable condition at a corpus christi hospital.. whittington was moved out of intensive care on monday afternoon but peter banko, administrator of christus spohn hospital, said he did not know when he would be discharged.. "his condition continues to be stable ... it's not critical, it's not serious.

he's in stable condition, doing extremely well," banko said.. the accident happened about 5:30 p.m. on a private ranch about 200 miles south of san antonio, where the vice president has hunted previously.
