Crackdown on "sisters" volunteering at DCs
by dozy inthe wts has sent a letter to all convention overseers expressing their increasing concern at sisters "directing brothers" at district conventions.. with immediate effect (ie for dc 2008), sisters are no longer to be used as volunteers in parking and security / watchman departments.
any sisters volunteering in other departments (eg toilet cleaning) must be subordinate & follow the direction of appointed brothers.
this move will put a huge burden on the dcs in my area - nearly half the volunteers for parking are sisters and there aren't enough volunteers as it is.

I always got to work in accounting and I found it so annoying. The brothers took our purses to a corner away from us. I remember the first time they didn't even ask me or explain. He just grabbed it and told me I couldn't have it near me. Sisters worked in accounting because we were all bankers or worked in accounting and were MUCH more proficient at the work. The brothers all looked like complete idiots not knowing what to do with money. None of them had any experience so we did all of the work and then the society made them check after us. It was sad that their checking took longer than it did us to do the actual work. The brothers all looked over us like we were going to steal something. I was so frustrated about that because I handeled SO much more money at my job and no one watched over me. ... I even worked in there once I was inactive and a secret apostate! I laughed that an apostate was handeling their money .. hahaha ..

Not going to the RNC convention afterall--big political wrangling
by Junction-Guy inwell just recently i mentioned that darin and i were going to the republican national convention, as darin was chosen as a mccain delegate.. .
well guess what happened?.
apparently former us senator mike dewine of ohio has managed to oust darin as a delegate, and mike dewine (or a family member) will be taking darin's place.. .

They use the computerized thing here and it's easy as pie and they will even have a lady come show you what to do if you can't figure it out. There's a touch screen and you hit the person's name and then next ....
I really like HIllary myself but I'm afraid she couldn't win against the Republicans because so many hate her. I'm torn if I should vote for Obama or Hillary so that they could beat the Republican candidate.
I also can't stand McCain! He reminds me way too much of Bush... 100 more years in Iraq??! .. aahh! And I just hate his attitude!
I hope Romney wins the Republican candidate because I could almost deal with having him as president. I'm not too crazy about him being a Mormon either but I do like his ideas better than McCain. (Healthcare especially).

resurrection
by confused and lost inthe wts denies the bodily resurrection of christ.
here is a verse i have found which , to my way of thinking, adds weight to the bodily resurrection.
read john 20:6,7.did you notice that the face cloth,napkin or shroud from jesus burial garments was folded up and was lying seperate from the rest of the bandages or linen strips.if ,as the wts teaches,god had simply evaporated jesus body in some way then surely all the bandages would be lying in the same place,the place where jesus body lay.i visualize the scripture this way.jesus body is restored to life.he sits up and undoes the bandages from around his head.he then lays these to one side,stands up and divests himself of the other linen cloths.i may be way off with this but it seems to fit with other scriptures relating to the bodily resurrection.

No -- I've seen married couples try to stay together after infidelity where he didn't forgive her. It just couldn't work because he kept bringing it back up and he couldn't look at her the same.

I had invitations returned ... I had my mom crying because she was going to miss it because I had to go and "leave Jehovah" ... But in the end I had the most beautiful day. My mom walked me down the aisle herself and gave me away! !! ..
