ok, so i was raised luthren, my dad was cathlioc and then i went dub for 5 years and since have been completely turned off religion.
the dub experience combined with world events and my personal ones have pretty much pushed all thoughts of a "almighty" out of my mind.

when i was a witness, i once had a elder tell me that he was positive the fbi was tracking witness activity.
even saying that he would not fill out anything that stated his religion on official, or even unofficial documents that were not from the society, as he felt this was a tool to track witnesses.
i remember once in a talk, it was mentioned that witnesses are not free from government tracking and that we should expect this.

looking at this chart i can't help but notice that pre-1984 the growth statistics were extremely erratic.
then, all of the sudden in 1984 the growth statistics calmed down and have ever since fallowed a much more stable trend.

Easy to grasp. Since 20 years, the CHART rules, and not the chance. They began to manipulate the things, so that the chart always shows small increases. A sort of "TIMING" began... Plainly said: since mid-eighties, the policy of the WTBS is targeting to keep a minimum increase even under worst cases.
i sometimes imagine that the wt is destroyed (mental masturbation yeah) and all the people left without hope, sanity and joy.
this will be terrible in itself, if the wt falls suddently i fear a mass suicide.i recall myself thinking that id would rather die that not be in "the truth".

The only way I can see the WTS even come close to reviving itself, is that all the crowed about "millions that will never die"---WILL die, and the musty, old, faulty and inaccurate teachings will be forbidden to be talked about and only "new light" will be on the plate.
Not necessary to "forbid"! Why should they forbid any quoting?. Decreasing the numbers of quotes in literature adaptively (yr by yr) is enough, und much more helpful. The JW`s forget more and more, they become old and forgetful (alz..), and finally they die. The next JW-generation does not remember "old light". In contrary, they will shun those who insist on "old light" (if they are living yet..)

But we must remember that there are still small groups of certain religions which the average reasonable person would scratch there head at so I can easily imagine that after such an exodus over an extended period of time that those calling themselves JWs could easily number anywhere between 1 million to 3 million or more by the year 2200
In 2200, we will have got a complete new world system and the possibility on everlasting life and youth with or without any WTBS. You may absolutely trust in my words (record it;-).

If they would be really honest, they would say: Sorry, brothers, we cannot tell the truth about what is going on in our world now (though we know it plainly) cause if we were doing it, we would be persecuted and sued. And folks: NOT YOU (the rank & file -class) would be those one being persecuted and sued, no - those would be ours....

Why should they trust at all their new interpretations on the issue
They have got no new interpretations, and maybe, there will be no new interpretations, because they exhausted. No "new light". The incredible sarcasm is just the fact they have got no blind idea exactly at that point in time, when the rank & file-JWs in deep despair scream for new light... They fell into their own trap. They have used up all their ammunition, because they interpreted 99,999999% of the bible, instead of - say - 95%. (If they had done so, they now had free zone for "new light" regarding 5% of biblic prophecy). But now there is no new ammunition to firework a "new light".
It is a tragedy. I wanted to weep, if I could.
