Disposable People

), i've been ransacked by a whole bunch of emotions which have been gradually resolving into thoughts.
the sense of being completely disposable, expendable, replaceable.

You are worth more to more people here than you can imagine. As Seven006 said in his last posting: This is a community and we are the only ones who give a shit. I couldn't of said it better than he did. We are a cummunity that cares for each other no matter what. We hold no reservations. I have enjoyed this board so much since finding it, I cant begin to tell you. The wisdom here is 2nd to none. I have enjoyed and believe I will continue to enjoy your posts Merry. You are part of what makes this board tick. We are family here. Unlike the Borg, we have uncondional love here for everyone. Never let the WT get the victory over you. Thats how they try to keep people in mind control. I have lost all my so-called friends. But thats ok, cause its just one more proof I have that its not Gods chosen org. Now I have new friends like yourself and many others who accept me for who I am, not what I am. Without the input of people like yourself and others here, there is no Forum.

What can discourage the JW's?

whenever there is bad news around the world, the jw's turn this into good news for them, because they see it as a sign of the end, so they are encouraged.... if less people join their religion, they will say that the end is close because everyone must have made up their mind, so they become encouraged.. so, what can discourage the jw's?.

If so moderate personal expenses such as your food, dry cleaning, shoe repair, toothpaste, haircuts and so forth may be submitterd to the congregation if the elders request them.
Lets see:
- Free food
- Free dry cleaning
- Free shoe repair
- Toothpaste
- Haircuts ( Whats that? )
Damn, I should have stayed in the Borg. Look at all those perks, WOW not to mention:
- Free room and board
- Have all the kiss asses come see ya at the congo
- Get to meet all the hot sisters ( for future reference in case things go sour )
- Get treated like some God or something
- Get to belittle the brothers you hate

My 70th Birthday Tomorrow
by Undecided ini just discovered that my daughter is having a birthday party for me at her new house tomorrow at 7:00 pm.
it is supposed to be a secret but i found out from an e-mail.

Anybody still buy vinyl records?
by DanTheMan ini haven't had a turntable in years, and i'm starting to feel all romantic about getting one and restricting my new music purchases to vinyl exclusively.. some reasons why:.
longevity - cd's get to be pretty skippy after about 10 years, and after 15 or 20, they are pretty much useless.
a vinyl record can last 100 years if taken proper care of.

Having DJ'd back in the late 70's early 80's, I collected 1000's of 45's and LP's. Sold many of them. Still have a decent collection. Mostly 60's and 70's.
Turntables I still have. Still use them too. Love to hear Chicago, Clapton, Moody Blues on them.
I many go back into DJing as a part-time gig soon. You know a little extra side cash. Just private stuff.
