i was in my nightclothes and had only just gotten up, or i would have answered.
DA yourself is the preferred method the elders would rather have. ( No work involved ). If they have to DF you, its a process, and thats more hard work on their part. If you have to go to a JC meeting, you get a chance to face them and hopefully say whats on your mind. Most likely you will get DF'd anyway, but at least you can go out with a bang!

but as he is also spoilt he thinks hes the alpha male in the house.
since we moved house hes become a real pain, barking at anything that passes, forcing me to take him for a walk when he wants to and wont wait (following me, whinning, staring at the door) in the end i do take him even if its inconvient, just to make him stop.. hes even starting to be reluctant when i want him to go in the utility room, where he sleeps, and i though he was going to bite me, hes never done that before.
Watch the "Dog Whisperer" on National Geographic channel. Fridays at 8:00 est. He deals with this kind of behavior all the time. Its a great show to watch. He handles many a canine problem.

when i was at bethel in the 70's the president of the watchtower society nathan knorr was really unpopular among a lot of bethelites because he supported the four year oblligation for bethelites to stay at bethel and stay single for four years.
i had heard that over nintey percent of the people who left bethel fell away from the jw religion afterwards, i was among that number, and i had heard that the majority of people who came to bethel did not keep there four year commitment but left in less than a year, i know the majority of people i started with lasted about a year at bethel, i was dumb enough to stay at bethel three and one half years.
i guess it was because i was raised in the witnesses and didn't know what to do after i lost my faith in that religion while i was there.
Welcome Boxed, I remember a good friend who was at Bethel in the 70's telling me plenty of stories like yours. Its amazing isn't it. I think all you ex-bethelites should get together and right a book.

If you're really bad you can't go in field service, though from what I understand, it is rare for that "privilege" to be revoked.
Yes, they will take away almost all priviledges except this one. I've been on private reproof once and I always found it strange that they would take away commenting at meetings but not field service. I mean I cannot comment using the bible sitting right next to my brothers and sisters, yet I can comment using the bible right next to my brothers and sisters at the door. Go figure!!!

Hey Beep Beep, The man himself said he was a Jehovah's witness, not Danny. The fact that the LOCAL elders said he wasn't doesn't mean that he wasn't a witness from some other part of the country. Im sure even if he were, the WT would want to hide it like they try to hide anything that makes the religion cult look bad.
well i was back on that jw board i frequent and i found another puke worthy jw experience; this time from field service.
anybody got anything to share?
i will start...for a year and half i studied with a young women and she was making slow progress but progress none the less.
Hell look at all the time she got in during the past 4 months looking for her.
Sounds like a pioneer to me.
