  so me and the guy i've been dating finally became offical since last night and its the first time in almost a year since i have been in a relationship.

  and for once, i think i may have a winner.

  but he is white...and 32...and plays the african drums..and teaches some weird dance in a school for kids having to do with cuban tribal dances..or something or other.

  This is the issue that got me out of the borg. After reading Ray's book and his account of the issue, I asked 3 people about it. None of them have gotten back to me as of yet.

  My older brother who use to be a witness back in the late 80's used to vacation in Cancun. He and his wife would visit congregations while there. I just got off the phone with him cause I couldn't remember what year it was that he told me that while visiting a Kingdom Hall, (it was 1991),he found it strange that no one was singing the Kingdom Melodies ( they were just listening to the music ). He inquired about it and was told that they never sang songs before in the Hall, so they would listen to the songs to get the Melodie. This confirmed for me what Ray said about the Mexican witnesses not praying or singing at the halls.They were registered as a Cultural Group and not as a Religion. They were not allowed to pray or sing songs. This all changed when the Government no longer held onto Religious properties.

  I guess one could write the Mexican gov. to confirm the status of Jehovah's Witnesses as far as when they actually registered as a religion. I will try to find out for you and post my findings.

  Intensely lonely

  normally i am fine but a glass and a half of wine and my heart is breaking.

  the irony of it is is that i was as lonely as this in the congregation.. i feel overwhelmed with life and never seem to get anywhere or get anything done.

  A few years ago I used to deliver to all the Price Chopper Supermarkets in Vermont. I would leave NY on Sunday afternoons and go to New Lebanon N.H. then work my way up to Rutland, Barre and St. Johnsbury. Some lovely sites in Vermont I must say. Welcome to the Board.

  i love reading posts on this forum though would have to say some of those are pure philosophical speculations (though very good ones) of sort if god is almighty can he create rock he wouldnt be able to lift i.e.

  i just received this news from a bro who has connections in bethel.... .

  bro albert d schroeder died at 10:30 am new york time today at brooklyn bethel...he was 94 yrs old.. he was born on april 7, 1911 in saginaw, michigan and entered bethel service in 1932. he was appointed a member of the governing body on december 18, 1974. bro schroeder's life story appeared in the march 1, '88 wt pages 10-17: entitled: "my life in jehovah's spirit-directed organization.".

  i don't know if the "today" means it was actually today...as i can't be sure when my friend received this news... but anyway, another of the old guys bites the dust.. .

  i hadn't seen ladylee posting the last few days - it's not like her to leave without letting us know that she's going away, and i was getting worried, so i called her this morning.. she called me back... she's fine, but her computer is not.

  it had a major crash a few days ago, and she's been trying to get it up and running ever since.. let's make sure she knows that she's missed!

  Its like the Chinese water torture. The longer it dripped the more apt you were to cave in. Same principle here. The longer the convention and days were the more brainwashed you got.
