This weeks #2 & #3 talk on homosexuality
by granada35 inafter a one year sucessful fade and no longer associated with any congreation, i was visiting my sister this week (who goes to the meeting to please her husband for now; i am slowly planting seeds though) and they decided to year this weeks midweek meeting via the telephone.
since i was a guest in her house, i sat with them in the living room to hear the meeting.
to my surprise (especially growing up as a gay jw with still alot of anger in my heart over how i was treated), the talks 2 and 3 where on, of course, homosexualiy.

I remember that if we were any bit at fault, it was murder on our part. So, driving 56 mph in a 55 mph, then it's murder. They WTS don't recognize negligent homicide. Twisted.
Sorry to hear of this. Hope you are able to get over it. It's a terrible thing to go through, even if it wasn't your fault. Just remember the bumper sticker, "Sh*t happens"

No more SHARED Territory only PERSONAL Territory
by OwnAccord inthis person is in turkey and maybe the reason for the chage?.
we have our circuit visit next week.
it has been said that each publisher should request for a personal territory so after next week we will not be meeting in the territory anymore.. the details for the switch are getting clearer.

JW.ORG REPORTS THE WATCHTOWER RESPONSE TO EBOLA
by NAVYTOWN ini just checked the jw.org website and noticed an article about the jw response to ebola.
as i suspected, the entire focus was on alerting and educating jw members about ebola.just like in other disaster situations, the jw organization almost exclusively assists it's own members, ignoring the general public.
it seems their main concern is keeping their members healthy so they can continue to spread the jw message door to door!!!

Wasn't it a JW who first contracted Ebola?

Today's WT study (10/12/14) - a sales seminar!
by OneEyedJoe inthis cult is getting really shameless.
the wt study was always supposed to be for discussion of 'the deep truths' of the bible.
the wt may have always been filled with utter nonsense, but at least it had the appearance of a topical discussion of bible doctrine.

They are a dying cult. They are trying to change tactics. It's desperation. They know they are not getting enough new people to join. I've seen people post on here that there was 1 or 2 baptisms at a convention of over 1,000. And, they were young kids of JWs.

I think I've finally been disfellowshipped
by Godsendconspirator init wasn't my preferred method of leaving but at least i'm as far as i can be from this cult.
over 2 years ago i've tried to fade out but i guess i did it too drastically.
i live in nyc so the entire territory is walkable and everybody in the congregation live pretty close by.

I'm ok with a man wearing a watch and his wedding band. Anything beyond that, looks cheesy, tacky, and low class. Like a Calvin & Hobbs pissing sticker type of low class. Like a leisure suit and white platform shoes. Like a hairpiece or a combover. It's like a stupid union boss, gets a second riiing. Two gold rings are just IIIIIIICK. If you have money, buy a really nice watch and leave it at that, ok?
