well, last night i asked my "believing" wife that question (if you could ask only one question and get a truthfull response, what would it be?).
now mind you, i have been working on my wife for awhile since she still goes to meetings.
yet, she still insists that it is the "truth".
Wow!
Is that not the sad part about this whole religon thing? So many expect to find one person or religion that has "All the answers". And if a group of people start to agree on some beliefs they start putting up walls, and making laws, and then start judging eachother on who is or isn't worthy.

It is so very frustrating when I here them say, it is the df'ed preson that chooses to be shunned. What a bunch of crap, Like we all want our family and friends to act as if we are dead.
I make a point of saying hello especially if other people are around. The few who don't respond look like butts. I could just here their conversations...."Why did you not say hello to that person they seemed to know you?" "Because he is not a JW anymore and I love him, and the Bible say not to speak to him." I thought the JW had unconditional love because the Bible says to have unconditional love?" "Yes, we do, and as soon as he starts doing everything we say, just the way we say it, and admitts he is wrong and submits to our scrutiny, we will love him unconditionally.
My father to his credit has never shunned me but he does restrict our time together. He claims we dont talk anymore but I have to point outy that it is because he is a two subject person, first subject is "What we heard at the meetings" and the second is "When are you comming back to the meetings." And when I say I'm not he doesn't want to talk anymore. I remember once at a small family gathering my father tells some of my cousins that the reason for their (the JW) shunning me was that I chose to worship Satan instead of God.(Notice he did not say Jehovah). Well my cousins really fliped on this one until I made my dad admit to them that in his JW belief system they too are Satan worshipers.
i have a heeler/australian shepard mix, male, 10 months old.
he is a great dog other than the fact that he digs like crazy!!
he dug up 6 trees, several holes in the yard, and all the bark in our landscaped areas.
When you are there give the dog as much attention as you can. If the dog is allowed in the house this will help because if he is just with you he thinks it is attention. Remember dogs are pack animals and are very social. As was mentioned it could be anxiety, from being alone. The toys are a good idea also. However the most important thing to the dog is his pack and the packs acceptance of him.
For more dirrect action go to every place he is digging (watch for new spots also) and sprinkle in some cayanne pepper. I know this sounds mean but while it does cause the dog discomfort, it does not hurt him as much as it would you or I if we got a nose full. He will smell it long before he stuck his nose deep in the hole.
If this is an older dog you may not have much success, but if this is a puppy then just accept the dog as a part of your "pack" and follow the other steps as needed. Puppies do dig a lot. I almost forgot, if it is quite hot where you are he may also be trying to get cool by laying in freshly uncovered ground. Go and dig down about 3 inches yourself and touch the dirt and you will see it is about 10 degrees cooler than the ground at the surface.

Thanks much for all the replies. I will still like to hear more if anyone has any. I have still not decided if I will go or not, as i could use a good day doing nothing at all! I will say that many people, even elders in her cong. are very nice and are friendly to me. There are a few butts however they know I won't put up with their nonsince. Over all they are cool though. As most of us know they are just misled. But if I do go and people start the old I'm better than you routine I will walk out after i tell them off. Just so you know I am not a person that likes confrontation at all, but I don't back down when I am confronted. I will be polite and friendly I promise.

If I do go I would like to know what each talk on Sunday will be with the just of each so I can not only be prepared to barf, but so I can say what will be said before it is said. Just to have some fun.

Funky Derek makes a great point about their dying. But am I reading it correctly, if God puts them out of the garden before eating from the tree of life, thus makeing it impossable to live forever, or conversly killing them?

I know that many dub's do divorce when their mate leaves or if the mate nevers becomes a dub, but will the WT make it a policy?
everyone has a song that reminds them of a particular moment in their lives, happy or sad or sometimes indifferent.
its only that when you hear that song it takes you back even catching you off guard and suddenly your back in high school or remembering someone you loved and lost.
