Thank you all for your encouraging comments, its true that I need to find myself first, and to be sure that I want what I am searching for. I know that I have to believe in something, what I want is to believe that the wickedness that is so much part of the world today will not always be. Yes we do all have ups and downs, I can deal with my own but what I can't deal with is seeing the suffering in this world over which none of us have control... So this finds me back to 24 years ago when I first started to study with JW's it was one of the things that motivated my to study... its like I have gone full circle and ended up back where I started, but now don't know where to go. All your advice to keep searching and to keep praying is certainly what I know I need to do.... but somewhere between leaving the JW's and to where I am now I find I have what feels like 'bible dyslexia'!!!!

Aaaaaagggghhhhh!!! thats how I feel at the mo!!! Why is it that no matter how hard you try life still sh**s on you!!!!! I come on this site hoping to feel a little bit better about leaving JW's and end up still feeling guilty! Yet I know that the way I have changed is not in the best way to serve God, but I can't cope with the 'goodiness' any more!!! Do you know how I feel, what I mean??? Is there a God who actually cares how I behave or feel??? and if there is then what do I owe him? can I ever live up to what he wants of me??? what is the point of all this?

Former Bible Study Wants to Talk...

i sent an email to my former bible study after a phone conversation we had where i told her i'd disassociated myself.
in the email, i included information about the shunning practice (which she had no idea about).

I agree with SWALKER, you have to show them how to research and the advantage of this is that you don't have to anti witness exactly, just show them how to find the relevant information, and encourage them to do so thoroughly before they make their final decision. Its an opportunity that very few of us get, so don't be anxious just do your best. The fact they want to talk to you still shows they still have doubts anyhow, even after 3 years studying. Let us know how you get on. Will be thinking about you.

Hello, new to posting here!

we have met up a few times, and it's great to be with others who understand (my sense of humour lol!).
i have been df for 14 years, and in the process became the black sheep of the family ( a familiar story).

What would you put in Room 101?
by PaulJ infor those of you that do not know what this is- room 101 is a place where you can bannish forever all the things that really annoy you.
the only requisite is that you have to justify why you want to put that 'thing' in room 101.
(if anyone can explain it better, please go ahead!).

Mrs J I know just what you mean!!! I call it my baby flap!!!! that would definitely have to go room 101 Paul, and think the reasoning is self explanatory!!! Oh and until I read it didn't know room 101 originated from the 1984 book.

Why is it so hard to have meaningful conversation at the Kingdom Hall?
by truthseeker indid any of you stuggle for have good conversations with the friends, before and after meetings?
i know i did.. by meaningful conversations, i mean in-depth discussions about events, news, beliefs.
it seems that jw's .

And you know what Coffe Black, thats what is so missing among JW's, true friends you can talk in depth with... its what I always wanted but never really found in all the 22 years of going to the KH, and I really did try!!! As soon as you are in company of other JW's you feel so inhibited!! and obviously thats how they feel too... not what Jehovah intended I am sure!!!

my wife is an ex dub like me.. it certainly helps that she understands why i am the way i am, and the actions of her in - laws.. what about you?

one deck is one i use more then others, as i feel more of a connection with the cards.
