  In need of your advice. November broadcasting 2017

  so my mum asked me to watch the broadcast and to my astonishment i got through it without smashing my screen haha.. so i let her know what liars they are for saying they would never deliberately distort a quotation.. she is ok for me to give her some printouts of watchtower material where this has in fact happened, contry to what they say.. where should i start and what would be your best link, or way to approach this.

  i think this is a good opportunity of waking her up, if she can see that the broadcast has lied to her, she won't be happy.. any advice is you can give is so appreciated.. thanks everyone..

  Faded for almost 10 years and still getting random calls

  hi all, just wondering if anyone is in the same boat.

  wifey and i dropped off the face of the jw planet almost a decade ago and still get 3 or 4 visits a year mostly when we are not dressed or expecting visitors.

  it's really annoying because we are both wondering why they don't get the hint already.. we don't want to move because we really enjoy where we live and both have careers that keep us in the area.. i've asked politely that they stop calling but like the "godfather" they keep "pulling me in.".

  Just send in your cease & desist letter (maybe with your Christmas card? ha, just kidding) the letter really does go back to the elders in your area and you will become a do not call. You will not have to talk to anybody from the cong. You might have to send it next year too because they only consider it good for one year. Unless you are like me and get mad as hell when they knock then you will be a do not call for all time. (I didn't think I should have to send a letter each year but that is another topic)

  i am now officially 'inactive' so am no longer chased by an elder a for a report.

  the congregation i belonged to never had much time for me anyway, i said once i could drop down dead in the k.hall and no one would notice.

  so i never expected anyone to be particularly bothered that i wasn't there and they aren't.

  Sorry, I just can't bring myself to actually watch this crap nor give them any more 'views' on youtube. What's the deal with the sphinx?

  Do jw's brag about how many views they get on their evangelical shows now? Think the day will ever come when have very own Tammy Fay Baker type? I guess she would have to be more of a plain jane though.

  My jw would pass an evangelical type of show on tv years ago and go on about how tacky it was, all for the money, etc.. etc... I wonder what he thinks of the wt doing exactly the same thing now?

  how do jw's answer jesus words in john 6:54 today?.

  You've got eating flesh and drinking blood something jw's find repulsive. Their yearly reject Jesus memorial does not allow them to take part in communion, how do they hand the 'whoever' part? some Bibles say 'whosoever' and does not limit it to a number such as 144,000.

  Or does their version of the Bible simply remove John 6:54? just wondering what the current light is on that one.

  A Little Direction Please

  i'm an active elder, cobe, just got home from the meeting where i handled the treasures part and concluded by announcing a friend of mine has been d/f,.....blah blah blah...and over the last year have woken up.

  i simply cannot spill my guts to my wife and children as it would be family suicide.

  i have zero desire to bash, spread my feelings, or become an "apostate".

  Just a thought from a non jw, never been, never will ubm- just because you tell the truth about something doesn't mean you are 'bashing' them. Though it will sound like it to a jw, that in itself should tell you something. If they had any sort of truth they wouldn't mind scrutiny.

  Best of luck and my only tip is to never use the word 'cult' with your jw's.
