  does anyone remember this game from (i think) the early '80s?

  it's a role playing game of some sort that included some violent imagery or something.. i remember jws (and the media, come to think of it) making a big, big deal of it.

  something like it was demonized or made kids murder people.

  i believe you too evan. i've seen it happen myself. we had a couple of old bags in my congo that were assigned all the ''interested'' calls that came through on the kh phone. they would spend days tracking those people down. sometimes if they knew that they were in the general area of the person, they would go door to door, do a presentation, then say, ''by the way, we're looking for a friend of ours. his/her name is soandso. do u know them?''

  i don't find it unusual at all.

  the old kh i went to would give off this strange smell of burnt paint ever time the central heating was put on.

  what would the jehovah's witnesses have to say about eating disorders?

  presumably any kind of mental illness is frowned upon and put down to weakness of the spirit.....i know when i was in it, one sister was severely chastised for having depression....she was told to have more faith in jehovah and presumably when she did, her husband would stop beating her and sexually abusing their kids which was understandably the source of her depression!

  i was bulimic and a self mutilator for 2 years. elders advice to my jw mother? ''use the rod and make her more active in jehovah's service.''

  my ''wordly'' dad found out and took me to a counselor. i finally got better.

  JDubs on Comedy Central last night!

  i was watching reno911 last night as i tidied up the kitchen.

  there was a skit where 2 officers stopped what looked like mormons (they had on white shirts, black pants, and were on bikes), and asked them if they had a permit to be ''preaching about jehovie?

  '' so this big dude grabs the cop and puts him in a head lock.

  i've been smoke free for a little over a month now. so has matt. he has taken up pipe smoking though, which i prefer, considering it smells a lot better.

  i've been considering taking up lady cigars...but just when i'm drinking.
